this patch opened a pretty big plot hole for me.
Back in 5.1 garrosh sent Vol'jin to investigate a hidden power in the Veiled Stair, and sent his kor'kron agents as well as us, the players. This is all covered in the scenario "Dagger in the Dark". At the end of that scenario, the Kor'kron assassins try to kill Vol'jin, we kill the assassins (And thus, any witnesses of what garrosh did), and we more or less become Double-Agents for vol'jin. Aiding the rebellion, while still posing as Garrosh's number 1 agent. At Vol'jin's suggestion, it was us who reported back to the warchief that vol'jin had died (remember, all other witnesses died). And garrosh being dumber than a rock inside a rock, fell for it.
Cue 5.3 and we help vol'jin repel an attack on Sen'jin village, then lead an army to Razor Hill, and wrestle it away from garrosh. And when this happens, everyone yells loud and clear that vol'jin is alive.
And here is the plot hole: Garrosh is still not hostile to us. Even though at this point is quite clear that WE LIED TO HIM.
Sense? this does not make.

Garrosh, famed for many things, but not intelligence.

I believe this "late novel" will probably create the backstory for lore on the upcoming expansion.
hmmm I don't really see how. It explains in bigger detail how the blood elves got their paladins initially, but that's about it. Its set well over 15+ years in the past from an in-game story perspective.
It is lame when books do that, I was expecting the new vol'jin book to be based in current/future events, maybe even bridge the way to 5.4, or be based DURING 5.4
Instead, its based on events that already happened. It explains how was he able to survive the Kor'kron ambush in the "Dagger in the Dark" scenario. Which pretty much means the whole book is a foregone conclusion. We know he survives, we know he stays on the horde, we know he leads the rebellion, blah blah blah.
BOO >=( There's hardly any point in reading it when all of it is stuff that already happened and we already know the ending. Its sorta like Wolfheart.

Hey Rankorr,
Guess what Halo fans, for quite a while, got with EVERY BOOK. (Granted, Contact Harvest and Ghosts of Onyx were AWESOME. The Flood and First Strike? Not so much...)
At least they aren't just novelizations of the Expansion Packs...

Ghosts of Onyx was awesome. I've always liked the Spartan-IIIs better, if just because they're not so OP as to be unbelievable.

The Flood sucked balls. That book was basically a novelization of a first person shooter >_<Ghosts of Onyx was awesome. I've always liked the Spartan-IIIs better, if just because they're not so OP as to be unbelievable.
This. I really enjoyed that book.

And they SCREWED IT UP to boot. It would have been nice if they at least told the author that Hunter's didn't have spines... or any internal organs... being collections of worms and all.
But yes, Ghosts of Onyx was awesome. Contact Harvest is still my favorite though.

Lemme guess, don't tell me, don't tell me.

Am I correct?

Hello, hope I visit the right side of forum with my question... I read about WoW lore more and more, but I can't find any information about one thing. Everything in Azeroth was created by titans. Sooo... Who was created the titans themselves?

Hello, hope I visit the right side of forum with my question... I read about WoW lore more and more, but I can't find any information about one thing. Everything in Azeroth was created by titans. Sooo... Who was created the titans themselves?
To begin with, not everything on Azeroth was created by titans. They have arrived to order a world fully formed; though it was torn by the raging conflict of the Elemental Lords, appeasing the cruel whims of their Old God masters, nonetheless Azeroth already existed, with plenty a species inhabiting it. Protodragons and nomadic tribes of prototrolls spring to mind.
Thus, we do not know where did those come from, as with the Old Gods. There are hints that the latter are a corrupting influence across the entire universe, but beyond some veiled threats of dying dungeon bosses, we have nothing solid.
Likewise, there is no information on where do the Titans come from. It could very well be that they are merely another sentient race that has advanced to the point of shaping other worlds as they see fit.

Thanks for answering. Uh. This is what annoys me the most in religion and mythology, including the mythology of Azeroth" we know who created humans, orcs, trolls, and so on, but we don't know who created the creators with their motives, and why they pursue precisely these motives. I do not understand why in the Great darkness is there evil (Legion), formed out of hatred. Where are the origins of this hatred? So pity that I don't know.

Actually, we don't know who created the Orcs or Trolls; we know that at some point between the Ordering and the fall of the Aqir empire, the trolls showed up, while on Draenor nothing is known about the evolution of the Orcs.
Humans though, are the 'cursed' offspring of the Vrykul, when the Curse of Flesh started altering them even more so.
Also, the Ordering states the world was in Chaos; I actually don't think the intelligent races showed up until after the original Ordering was done, since while the Old Gods and the Elemental Lords could survive, I have a feeling that the lesser races would have been wiped out.
It's entirely possible the that 'natural' races of Azeroth came out of the Un'goro, Basin and the lands that used to be Pandaria petri dish when it was connected to the great continent of Kalimdor.

Well.............. mixed feelings about the boss listing for Siege of Orgrimmar.
(Incoming unmarked spoilers, read at your own risk)
On the good side, neither Zaela nor Riko show up on the list for the time being, so there is hope for them. And while we have to fight THE FRIKKING KLAXXI PARAGONS, and the main golden lotus quest-givers, they don't die, they just come to their senses at a certain point.
On the bad side, General Nazgrim is a boss, U_U and we do kill him. Damn you blizzard. I've fought side-by-side with this guy for 3 expansions and now you make us kill him. Ohh but the alliance gets to keep their shiny admiral taylor. How is that any fair?
On the gray side (unsure if this is good or not) we do fight the proto-dragon of Zaela, so I'm concerned. Also some of the names of a few bosses are ambiguous such as the "Iron Juggernaut" and there's always that inherent risk that either Zaela or Riko could receive added insult to injury via being added as Trash Mini-bosses, similar to Manchu, Weisheng, Monara, or Draz'kil.
So help me god blizzard if you kill off Zaela as a simple TRASH MINIBOSS........................................ /shakes angry fist.
Ohh and BTW, they gave the son of a bitch a new High-res
model
. Now that we gotta kill him, NOW they give him a decent non-crappy model.
/facepalm

=O blizzard added a new section with updated info on major lore figures
http://us.battle.net/wow/en/game/lore/characters/
when did that happened?
(Funny how Illidan is classified as a demon and not a night elf anymore.)

You know the part about the new Garrosh I find the most interesting? He's not being controlled, and he actually takes over the power of Y'sharrj for himself...that is some hell of powerful will power.
