Yeahhhhhh oneofthosethingsIwillcontinuallyregretfortherestofmylife
but not really what I was thinking. That was less actual novel writing and more off and on 'where the crap will this go!'. If we sat down and did serious planning/outlining and what not I figure we could all write something really amazing.
Maybe. I'd think that it may eventually devolve into a too many cooks spoil the broth situation though. Probably why authors usually work in pairs, if not alone.

I'm still most excited about seeing Vol'jin. I'm convinced beyond s doubt that he's gonna be Warchief unless Blizz is laying down a huge red herring, and the prospects of a troll Warchief--with all their different concepts of honor, good, evil, and a different set of spiritual beliefs--is absolutely fascinating.

I think it may be a ruse, too. But I'm thinking more along the lines of Sylvanas seizing power during the siege. I mean, what better time would there be?

As opposed to Super Warrior, Anime-hair sporting, Magicsword-out-of-nowhere, Avatar of wolf-god, undefeatable, one shotting Onyxia, Grand super king of the Alliance.
Fixed that for you.
At least thrall has had his ass kicked on several ocasions, whereas Varian is all but invincible. If anyone pokes any fingers at thrall for being a sue, Varian is a SUPER-SUE! (Yes I really really really dislike him. Though its fair to say he's not really the worst character ever made for the game, Rhonin, Med'an, and SPECIALLY Aggra, outmatch him in awfulness by a long shot)

Thrall, living plot agent, amplifier of Jaina's chickification, totally not over-powered Thrall? Suuuuure.
They're just as bad...
If anyone is an amplifier of Jaina's Chickification is Varian ("Why are you crying?" followed by the cringe-worthy "I'm just proud of my king /snifff". THIS WAS HER SOLE REASON FOR SHOWING UP IN ICC)
And if anyone is overpowered is Varian.
Thrall got his ass handed back to him on a plate when he fought against mannoroth, and again vs Benedictus, And again vs Jaina. This is not counting the times he lost as a gladiator (vs the spotless chain of string-victories without even scratches that varian had during his time as gladiator)
You list to me how many times has varian suffered a humilliating defeat. Go on, I'll wait.
