Again, not about lying, it's about making himself look more important then he is: I severely doubt that they told him anything about the next expansion beyond what was already revealed or told him anything about the 5.0 pre-patch information. People who are made into celebrities can get swelled heads fairly easily, no matter what disease they have....also, where did you get that from?

He was already invited to Blizzcon, talking to Metzen isn't such a stretch. He wouldn't be 'more important than he is'.
Besides, he didn't even say anything anyway.
Which is my point; he doesn't say anything beyond vague this and that, so why would he decide to go online and attempt to make it seem he knows more then he does. I also never said he didn't talk to Metzen, but since the RSG does not work for Blizzard, I really doubt they would tell him anything about stuff that is upcoming.

a hug, a hand-shake, and a friendly chat =/= revealing stuff that is not yet implemented.
That pretty much supports his claims of talking to chris metzen earlier at blizzcon, at least for me.
again, just because he talked to him, doesn't mean he was revealed anything important.
And it's red shirt guy, he has aspergers, are people with aspergers even capable of lying? Pretty sure they're typically honest folk.
to your face? maybe, or maybe not, asperger sindrome is quite diverse, like autism, and in some cases yes they can. Via indirect ways (via typing text on the internet) yes everyone can. Everyone.
Besides, why would he care what a bunch of people on an internet forum who he doesn't know IRL think of him?
aparently a lot, since after his first apereance on the last blizzcon, people (cruel insensitive people) made fun of him for how he spoke, so he made a youtube video exclusively to prove he didn't speak like that on normal circunstances.
That goes to prove that he DOES care what a bunch of strangers may or may not think of him, since people who already know him in real life know he doesn't speak like that, he made that video exclusively for the strangers on the internet and the forums who were poking fun at him, and besides you underestimate the power that ego and internet-fame can bestow on a person.
As I've told you before EVERY SINGLE ONE of the employees in blizzard are forced to LIVE in their HQ to prevent the risks of leaks, why on earth would they spill the beans to a kid that could reveal everything by accident? all it takes is for him to get drunk with his buddies and slip his tongue once and presto, dozens of secrets, out in the open.
He was revealed squat, he's just being criptic and elusive about it because if he says something concrete, like say........... Garrosh invades stormwind, and him and varian fight on the throne room and varian beheads him on 1 move, the moment something different than that happens, people will realize he was lying.
By saying criptic stuff that can be interpreted a dozen different ways, he can still cling to his 15 minutes of fame, and not look like a liar anyways.
besides, well over 2 dozen people spoke to metzen at blizzcon, more than one shaked his hand too, did he revealed any important stuff to any of them? nope.

meh I doubt it will end that way, dont get me wrong, I'd welcome the chance to get rid of that IDIOT any day of the week, but I dont think it will end like that, we wont be getting rid of him that easy =(
but yes, that was just a point to counter what sold said here:
There is no reason for him to lie, and if he was lying, he'd make up some phony fake spoilers, not drop tiny little hints that can't reveal the spoilers at all.
if he wanted to cling to his 15 min of fame, and not deal with nasty repercussions later, instead of making up a phony spoiler (which later on will be proven false once the game is released) just give a tiny hint that means nothing in the long run and that was based on what metzen said publicly on blizzcon anyways.
Metzen already said that they were gonna give the alliance players some love in MoP, and we know garrosh wont be leading the horde for much longer since Thrall is coming back (and considering the attack on theramoore, I'm betting he aint coming back happy, if there's someone u DO NOT wanna piss off, that's Thrall, ask Blackmoore)

well, because its completely unfounded to say that people with asperger sindrome cant lie :P
that's a very VERY diverse disease, you can put up to 10 people with it in a single room and find at least 3 who display the symptoms in a very different way. The main point is that on the few cases that do display an incapacity for lying, is not that they cant lie per se (Like jim carrey on the movie "Liar Liar") but more like, when they lie, their own body language betrays them and reveals they are saying false information, after all, asperger consists on a large degree of being incapable of controlling some of your own body's reaction. thus when speaking face to face, some aspergers attempting to lie, will just basically betray themselves on it.
But, on the internet, anyone can type a piece of fake information, since you aren't making eye contact, nor are you watching the other's expression, its 100% impossible to tell when someone on the internet is lying.
Pfff, I could type rite now that I descend from the fifth king of spain, and not one of you could tell if I was lying or not.

this is exactly why he didn't actually "revealed" anything solid, because then, eventually as they say, the truth will surface, and everyone would see that he lied, therefore, he gave a REALLY vague hint, based on what metzen already said on public, and then claimed he was also told more than everyone else.

be famous? believe it nor not, people love fame, why do you think that idiot Athene keeps making those videos claiming he's the best paladin in the world? its called Attention w-h-o-r-i-n-g.

The reason why he wont tell anyone what metzen said is because he asked metzen if he should keep it secret and metzen said that he would "appreciate it if he did" which means metzen doesn't care too much about what he told red shirt guy getting leaked on the interwebs, red shirt guy is just being respectful by not telling.And you know..if he did reveal anything, Blizzard could sue him for it too. That being said, I still doubt RSG knows anything more then the rest of us do.

sorry kiddo, but this isn't how corporations work ya know? there's a reason for the secrecy, gaming is a competitive enviroment, and they dont want any details about their story leaked to the public before they are ready do release it themselves.
Metzen is above everything else, part of a corporation, and when imparting confidential information they dont just "take your word for it" as if that was the case, people participating in the alpha woudn't be required to obey the NDA, by legal contract.
No company will reveal secrets and then just say "Apreciate if you keep the secret", none. that's not how the REAL world works bro'
