Eh the bat thing is more to handle the 'screamers' complaining about the idea of a troll being stuck with a bird, when the Bat is the main animal of them. So, until the until now unknown Bat Ancient comes down out of the sky, it's a Loa thing.

again, troll druids don't get their blessings from the ancients (just like tauren pallys don't get their blessing from the holy light) these are 2 diferent classes lore-wise.
Troll druids are simply Loa Priests that rather than serve a single loa (as is custom) they serve multiple loas at the same time via the emerald dream.
thus they use the dream to contact the loas.
Gimme 10 minutes and I'll link the screenshots of zen'tabra's dialog.

a rather good read, with an intresting explanation about trolls and druids.
last one is particulary good XD
ohh yes, I'd love to see the look on that night elf face when they saw trolls, TROLLS, being druids now.
:D

Considering it's the druids anyways....probably a shrug, and say 'If Cenarius wills it'.

heh, yea rite, they'd do that if it was any race BUT the trolls.
you do realize that these 2 races (night elves and trolls) have a feud that predates even some of the oldest conflicts in the world.
is like asking the Barça and the Real Madrid to actually get along xD. or the Yankees of NY with the red sox of boston.
they may get along if its the will of cenarius, and of the spirits, but that doesn't mean they weren't probably REALLY surprised to see trolls being druids.
I'd imagine that humans and draenei would make a similar face if orcs were paladins (and I mean paladin-paladins, not blood knight or sunwalker, but actual knights wielding the holy light of the naaru, They'd accept it, but would express EXTREME surprise at it.)
Edit: besides, if Zen'tabra mentioned it, then it means it was a memorable expression of surprise :P

A shock yes; but the Druids seem to be a different mindset then your average Night Elf. Rank I know there is a massive feud, due to the fact that the Night Elves shattered the great Troll empire....but that's the entire race not the Druids, who are devoted to keeping the balance of the world.
And yes, among the Druids there are those who think otherwise; Fandral and his supporters for one...but seeing as the current leader of the Druids is Malfurion, he'll do his best to keep open warfare from exploding among the new Elf and Troll druids.
Of course, not that much more a shock then the Tauren deciding, 10 years ago, to pick up Druidism after not practicing it for almost 10 thousand years, or in the aftermath of the Shattering, finding out that an entire sub-group of Humans are suddenly 'empowered' with the power of the Wolf ancient and are reviving an ancient sect. Compared to the Worgens, the Troll druids are the lesser shock.

Interesting and obviously a better explanation than just "we were hiding". Zen'tabra said that the troll druids were shown by Gonk a new way to connect with ALL the spirits of nature, not just the Loa but also the Ancients.

So, Gonk was the Cenarius then eh?

You know, I was just thinking... What's with orcs (and the Hellscreams in particular) and nose rings? Nose rings have traditionally been a sign of slavery, and I don't think that they'd want to insinuate that they were slaves.

Who knows, of course, Tauren and Trolls have them too heh.

Who knows, of course, Tauren and Trolls have them too heh.Yeah, but cows have nose rings irl. The purpose of nose rings is so that you can tie a rope to the nose and lead with it (hence the term "led by the nose"). Slaves used to be forced to wear nose rings for this purpose.

Might be something from the past of Draenor then, something to do with how the clans used to treat each other....or it might be more like Grom's all black tattoo'ed jaw: Suppose to show how 'strong' the orc was, willing to take the pain to have the ring put in.
Realistically, from the programmer view, probably suppose to have been a way to show the 'savage' orc, out of the dark(throw back to the savage African).

dunno about orcs, but for trolls, the nose rings serve the same function as wedding rings.

At this point, I think you may be overthinking the implication of the nose ring. I'm pretty sure this stemmed from a "Wouldn't it be cool if...?" for Grom, and a "Well, if his father did it..." for Garrosh.Eh, I probably am overthinking it, but which board are we on again? :P
I was just looking at my Garrosh wallpaper from the Darkmoon Faire contest (if Tauren found out, he'd kill me, but hey, that picture looks pretty badass, gimme a break) and noticed the ring, and I was like "Wait... what?"

Hey look, it's Jaina....with a really old picture.
ye ye very intresting, but here's a small fix that article should have.
When Horde and Alliance collided during the Battle for the Undercity, Jaina went so far as to teleport the Alliance forces out when it became clear that Varian Wrynn was far too angry to do anything but
TRY
murder Thrall and the remainder of the Horde forces. She could have let the conflict play out, but she didn't, instead choosing to separate the forces for what she deemed in her mind to be "the greater good."
heavy emphasis on the word TRY, as he had no way in hell to succeed.
