Metzen said during last Blizzcon that they would like to make a Windrunner sister reunion when we encounter Turalyon and Alleria again. So, Sylvanas will stay alive until then.
That's not a guarantee; Vereesa knows Sylvanas is still 'alive'....and she hates what she has become. A reunion can be between Alleria and Vereesa just fine heh.

I wonder if Turalyon joins the Argent Crusade.
Who else thinks he's a possible candidate to be the Ashbringer?

You would say... but I doubt after showing how much Sylvanas still cared about her sisters in the Lady's Necklace quest they would just kill her off before a reunion with both her sister.

It wouldn't be a happy reunion....you'd probably see the living sisters try to take down the dead one, especially with all the stuff she does....and will be doing.

The sword should be burried in the farthest corner of Azeroth at this point.
Er, what?
Tirion is wielding the Ashbringer it at Hearthglen.
He is old, you know. Sooner or later, he will die. And who is better candidate than Turalyon -
the
Turalyon?

And Turalyon is just as old.

I'll tell you who.
DARION! his father said that one day he would wield the ashbringer and with it "meet out justice across this world" but that day was not today.
Granted, Ashbringer was cleansed by tirion and the light of dawn, but once tirion passes away, Darion should have it

Dunno if it would work, unless it get "corrupted" again, or at least darkened. I just don't see a Death Knight wielding a sword infused with the power of the Light.

How can an undead, with all dure credit to Mograine Jr., wield the Ashbringer? And I had a perception that Turalyon was around mid-twenties back in the Second War.

And he'd be in his late 50's early 60's by the time he get's back; his son is 21-22 after all in BC, add in the next 5 years for the rest of BC, Wrath and then Cata, then however many years till he returns.

With Atiesh... in Stromgarde... 2 years ago.
In other words, there are no plans for it.

That part was a joke, doesn't mean that the rest of the answer was also one.

What I mean is that the Ashbringer was destined for Alexandros Mograine and his sons. Well, he died. Renault was corrupt and Darion is a death knight. I hate how Tirion can just take a sword that was not made for him, purify it, and go gun-ho with it. Seeing as how the Mograine family is dead, the sword that put them on the spot should just go away.
If you remember the battle of Light's Hope. Darion willingly gave Tirion the sword. The sword seems to understand and 'allows' itself to be wielded by Tirion.
If Tirion were to die, I view Ashbringer as a sentient weapon capable of 'choosing' its wielder. If someone else were to use it, they would merely be helping it along its search for who it wants. I forsee it seeking out either Darion or one of Tirions family or perhaps resting until it can find one truely worthy to wield it.
Valan or some other Draenei actually sounds like a nice cannadate, or perhaps a Blood Knight.

I'm not saying there's no chance of it happening, but they didn't just talk aboit it once or twice. I believe they brought it up as many as four times, every time adding something else to what would happen.
I'm certain it's something they think would be cool as well, but it's not something that's guaranteed to happen. They're keeping Sylvanas alive, but it's most likely not for that.
