Come on Blizzard, give her a unique model......Could be a placeholder, too. Besides the fact that it's beta, one must also consider that some characters, like Thorim, for example, had one model at launch, and received a new one in a later patch. I still remember Thorim as a giant Frost Vrykul in my mind... :P

Beyond that, if we see Garona in the Highlands, does that mean we'll see Meryl as well somewhere else where there are lot of Hammer Cultists?(fan boi squee)

From what I have heard she doesn't have a PH tag, but like you said, that doesn't entirely rule out a new model. But I doubt they ever will do a unique model for her or Lantresor.

I just don't want her bald with pig tails...I mean sure she has them, but she also has hair on her head, and they could give her the tats.

Thorim never had the PH tag on him either, and during a huge chunk of WOTLK he was just a voiceless giant frost vrykul in stormpeaks.
it wasn't untill patch 4.1 that he recieved his own set of voice and model.
wich is hillarious because I started doing his questchain back in patch 3.0.8 (vrykul model) and got all the way till I unlocked the sons of hodir faction. After that I let that quest just sleeping in my questlog for months (as I was busy questing in icecrown and getting my pre-raiding tanking gear) and I only resumed the chain in patch 4.1
when I decided to complete that chain, I was to meet thorim in the terrace of the makers (last time I saw him 4 months prior was in that place with the lots of dwarf and giant ice statues, when he recieves his hammer from the leader of the sons of hodir) and OMG I MY JAW DROPPED when I saw him with a brand new model.
my only tought was DAMN this guy needs to tell me his exersice regime xD.
anyways getting back on topic:
my money is on garona getting her own model before cata launches, or at some major patch after launch.
(yes lantesor never got his own model, but his role in the game was quite minor, Garona on the other hand is a major lore figure, and I'm betting her role in the game will be large enough to warrant a uniqe model. Heck they gave anduin who does absolutely nothing a new model :P don't see why not her)

I doubt they will too. If you look at any half-breeds in wow, they all recycle the model of one of the races they were created from.

I doubt they will too. If you look at any half-breeds in wow, they all recycle the model of one of the races they were created from.
That and the fact that Garona, as someone else probably mentioned, looks pretty similar to how she looks ingame right now anyways. All they could possibly change would be giving her a custom hair, face and something like the DK eye effect I guess. (oh and she's supposed to have "misshaped" feet, right?)
Also, despite being such a big lore character, she doesn't seem to have a very big role in Cataclysm... She gives a couple of Horde quests (Mathias Shaw gives the Alliance ones, just a fun fact) in Twilight Highlands, 's all. (would be cool if she showed up during the Cho'gall encounter, but his audio files don't suggest that happening)

Anduin is because they didn't have a teenage model. She'll probably get a new skin, and possibly a hairstyle we never saw before (or the one I'm currently sporting on my female orc rogue - the emo one), but I doubt they'll go to the lengths of giving her a new model unless she, like Thorim, shows up as a raid boss or something.

There's still other raids we haven't seen.
True, but Cho'gall is the one encounter where you'd expect her to show up really...
Garona is awesome, but I don't think she'll have a big part in Cataclysm, which is a shame. :-/

Because that wasn't her stance in Last Guardian; I loved her in that book, and had fan boi moments when she appeared in the comics, and her background was further expanded on heh.

I don't see what's so awesome about a character who's only excuse to do anything is "I was mindcontrolled lol"
I honestly don't know... I just like her. :-p WC and WC2 were "before my time" so my only knowledge about her is wowwiki and the comic. Comic wasn't exactly a masterpiece I suppose but the parts about Varian and Garona/Cho'gall (although I didn't like Med'an) were decent IMO.
Always had a thing for orc assassins/rogues as well... :-p
Slightly off topic, but what I find more sad is that they're killing off Cho'gall so early in the expansion. He's easily one of the most interesting villains so far (can't go wrong with two-headed ogres...) and he gets some nice buildup in quests only to be killed off in the first raid. :-(

I guess they wanna make sure EVERYONE kills cho'gall, it would be a shame that after all the building up to in the quests, only a small handfull can kill him because he's the second-to-last boss of the last raid in the expantion.
by making him the boss of the very first entry raid they make sure that he is killed by everyone, on patch 4.0 only a few will kill him, but on patch 4.3 and tier 13 is out, it's gonna be easy to steamroll him.
my only prayer of hope for this expantion is NO MORE CRAP OF "there must allways be a "
that was a real slap in the face in WOTLK, I was expecting to bring an end to the lich king, an END, not a TO BE CONTINUED, I hate cliff-hangers, special focus on stupid and unnecesary cliff-hangers.
aparently is ok to off a dragon aspect who happens to guard all magic and arcane currents in the leylines on azeroth, but killing a lich that has only existed for barely a decade? no no that can't happen.

It's not professional, of course, and I'd really like to see what a professional could do, but since all his pictures are in black and white, I wanted to see him in color.
