I have thoughts I would like to share with you all.
We all know dreadlords are masters of deceit and trickery. We know that they manipulate people to do things that they would not normally do, and that in many cases the very fact that a dreadlord was in play may not even be discovered.
A topic frequently discussed on this board is the Forsaken, and how evil they really are. What we don't discuss, however, is the hand that Varimathras has played in what the Forsaken have come to be. What if he changed them, and made them into the scheming, hating individuals most of them are today? What if the one behind it all - the new plague, their hatred towards the living, everything like that - was Varimathras?
And is he gone now? Or just "gone", still behind the scenes? And will his disappearance change anything?

and put the cherry at the top by making tauren warlocks, draenei warlocks, troll paladins, and forsaken shamans :P
then we lace it all up by making the forgotten ones the true creators of the light, and the pantheon as the makers of the legion too.
seriously, if they actually dared to make elune a naaru I'll be making one of the biggest nerd-rages of all times.
as it is I've barely coped with the whole night-elven magi thing on cataclysm, let's not push things much further than that pls.
I'm hoping that image is photo-shopped (or something) in some regards. And Night evlen magi make sense, its basically those Dire Maul nelfs coming out of the woodwork and moving up to the top branch (huzzah for bad tree puns).
I think it might actually be a placeholder model while the artists work on a real one. Who knows?
Edit: Considering it looks almost exactly like A'dal, I think I'm right.
Also, about the shapeless. Remember how Yogg-Saron, the "fiend of a thousand faces" had the faceless ones? Perhaps the new Old God will have something to do with shape... Or defining shape... Like a nose... *Gasp*

Still, its put as E'lune in stead of Elune. Probably nothing major, but it might be key.
Also, Wowwiki has added anything to it, so I'd assume that this is officially non-cannon in any form.

I think you're right.

Sylvanas set up the Plague, Varimathras just took advantage of it with the help of the RAS who thought she was being weak and not using it to it's full advantage.

Edit: Considering it looks almost exactly like A'dal, I think I'm right. It's an f-ing Speculation post, it won't happen...... jesu christo. The Naaru have nothing to do with the Azeroth Gods, the first time one was seen on Azeroth was O'ros in the Exodar.

No, you linked the wrong comic. I didn't see what Frozen Orbs had to do with anything...

the war of the ancients

Meh, we've had some debate.
I personally thought it was good, although a few of the characters were a bit sueish.
Some others just say its terrible because of the ammount of lore-raping that goes on.

question: The wow book
the war of the ancients
is good right?
It's... well... if you like lore... no... if you like good characterization... no... gimme a second.
If you like taking a great story about an ancient race of mystical beings and their fight against demonic invaders and making it about a super-awesome mage from the future and his two super-awesome sidekicks who are also from the future, then you'll like it.

eh...lore rape isn't always bad...so long as the story is good.
and i like how you put that HiVolt. lol.

That in itself seems like a paradox.

The books are good; but semi-bland as they reduce a few characters to shallow archtypes; ie Tyrande is a damsel in distress, Malfurion is the hero boy... but the best scene isn't till book 3; then it's the ultimate moment of awesome with Deathwing.

Fix'd. There's just...nothing that keeps you reading it. Other books I have read I have not been able to put down because I've been enthralled by them, and Knaak's do nothing close to that with me.
