I wouldn't say that Brox delayed him, more or less just irritated him to the point that he stopped what he was doing and killed him. Delayed would imply that Brox managed to put up some sort of a fight - which, besides the scar on Sargeras' leg, he didn't.Remember the fact that he stood on a mountain of demon corpses, single-handedly?
This brings up an interesting question; should the weapon made by Cenarious - Brox's axe - actually been able to hurt Sargeras? We're talking titan vs. a demigod, I think that it might have been another mistake on Blizzard's part.Plus, y'know, it was made of
wood
.
It's stated that no
mortal
weapon can injure Sargeras, but Cenarius is hardly a mortal. However, the wielder was mortal, so still got asspwnt.
What other weapons could do such things?
Plus, maybe they'll put
Thura Saurfang
(He's not the last!) in game at some point, and we'll learn a bit more about said legendary axe.

I think that part was exagerated by - for lack of a better term - the media. You know, a lot of hype over a hero because he did something great that eventually gets blown out of proportion. That was talking about his exploits at the Battle of Mount Hyjal, yes?

No, to give them extra time to seal the portal, Brox jumped in and began going ape$%^&, killing everything that came at him; at the end of that, just as Sargeras squashes him, he knicks his ankle, making an injury that lets all of the Night elf magi, Rhonin, Krasus and a few dragons hit him with the full burst of power to force him back through the portal, and it slams shut.

Why nobody comment on White Stag?
Just got kind of disappointed after all the comments in last part of the series.

A tall man in midlife with a rough-hewn handsomeness and brown hair that refused to be tamed, Varian was to his people the epitome of a champion. But now there came a threat that Varian could not understand how to handle.
His people were not waking up.
More to the point, each day found the numbers growing. It had started with one or two, then five, ten, and more. With each newly discovered slumberer, the populace grew more pensive. Some thought it a disease, but the scholars with whom the king conferred were certain it was far more. Some force was specifically attacking Stormwind through a curious form of attrition … and Varian knew exactly who it was.
The Horde.--Stormrage
Silly Varian... xDOf course, I can't really bag on Varian for jumping to false conclusions in the face of how friggin' mentally challenged Thura is proving to be.
Not only does she believe that Malfurion was the one that killed Brox (despite Malfurion's siding with the orcs at Hyjal), but she also doesn't realize that dragons can take mortal form, which should be common knowledge, considering Deathwing took human form when he spoke to the orcs as far back as the Second War.
And then there is the fact that Knaak cannot seem to stop his diarrhea of the fingers as he goes on about the foul smell of her unwashed body and how her breath is even worse and that her eyes were the only part of her that any human could ever find attractive.
Oh, thanks Knaak, I was really hoping that you'd ration a few paragraphs of your precious lore-$%^&ing time to reinforce
that
stereotype... -_-

You know, I think Knaak must be blackmailing Blizzard somehow, there's no way that they would continue to let him write books like that otherwise.
On another note, another update to my Wowwiki page. More RP characters that I hope to use in the future.

Fix'd to be more Knaaky.

A primary questgiver of some sort, possibly for mages. He was good freinds with the leader of the Forsaken Warlocks and Mages (Benthor Iceshard) and should have moved into the Undercity right now. He just seemed to have the potential to be a very important figure for the Forsaken, especially how things have started to turn out for them.
After all, he is a Lich (if in name alone).

More Knaak's /facepalm worthy book:
The green dragon sneered down at him. “And you are correct! An orc is hardly a menace in a place like this! Even if the Nightmare guides her, your Malfurion Stormrage is first among you druids! His deeds are honored among my own kind! No earthly weapon would be a danger to him…”
Lucan swallowed. “She has an ax.”
Tyrande looked at him, her expression wary. “The orc carries an ax?” She spun him to face her. “Describe it to me!”
“It was an ax with two edges. A battle ax.”
“And how made? Was the head of iron or steel? Quickly! Tell me!”
Broll moved to calm the high priestess, but she waved him back. Tyrande waited breathlessly for Lucan to answer.THE ORC CARRIES AN
AXE
? THIS IS OF DEATHLY IMPORTANCE!

Wow...Didn't seem that bad when I read his own stuff. It's not your fault. The brains of most people are unable to handle the kind of terrible quality of books that he writes, so it forms mental blocks to prevent you from perceiving the true horror of it. Like with Cthluhu. It's quite normal.
