Like Tyrande acting like a giggling schoolgirl angsting over which colour lipstick to wear for her date with the Stormrages, rather than a savage $%^&*?

I wonder why we never heard anything about Arthas' sister . . . I mean, this whole expansion was about Arthas.

Because she's dead(or at least Rise of the Lich King implies it heh).

Did it? I don't remember reading that.
It's implied that Arthas killed both his mother and sister; that he had Scourge forces guarding the secret passages out of the Castle and city, which is where the female members of the Menethil family supposedly ran.

Hrm. I got the book and read it, but I don't remember that either . . .

Hmm, I'll have to re-read that. But that's no proof they were killed, they might have escaped.

I doubt it.

It just says that there's secret passages there. It says nothing about his mother and sister other than that they know of the passages as well.

There were a lot of Scourge, I admit that, but if Arthas himself didn't know where the other passages were how could he have managed to send undead to guard them and kill his mother and sister?
Besides, it's very likely that they had guards of some kind with them.

Finally he reached his quarters and the secret exit built into the wall. He, his parents, and Calia each had one... known only to them, Uther, and the bishop. All were gone now, save he,Read it Morec heh, he knows where his family's escape holes are; he probably had Scourge stationed there waiting for any runners.

Ah, my bad, missed that on my second read. Still, there is the posibility of guards buying them
just
enough time to get away.
But yeah, with that said they
probably
died. Nothing to say the Plague didn't ressurect them, though. But I suppose that's a differnt topic altogether.

To what extent would you agree that Knaak's writing is as bad as say...Stephenie Meyers'?No, it's not that bad; at least people actually have real problems in Knaak's books.
I dunno. I'm liking Day of the Dragon so far... And I
loved
the Legend of Huma.

I'd like to think that Calia escaped, especially when you consider Calia Hastings in Theramore (who certainly could be Calia, as she was close friend of Jaina), and then "Princess" from the story with Trevor the undead priest.

I think Calia is Calia as well. Although it's a pretty crappy alter-ego to give one's self to seemingly avoid enemies.
Calia: Hmm, I'm the last member of my bloodline with a death warrant, I'll hide myself by having an incognito name!
Jaina: That's a wise idea. You could make a good Queen, you know.
Calia: I shall call myself....Calia!
Jaina: /facepalm. I retract my statement.

Well, if it's a decently common first name...
I mean, if someone's name was John Burqehousen and they changed their name to John Jackson, it wouldn't be too obvious.

True, but if said person looks the same and happens to be in the same position that Calia is (if she has survived) She would be foolish not to have a complete alter-ego.

She was in Theramore. If Arthas didn't come for Jaina, he probably wouldn't come for her. She doesn't need to be
that
incognito. It's possible she only changed her name to detach herself from Arthas.
