In Feralas, I know that a mage will teleport you to the top of one of the two large peaks in the north, and an enterprising vendor at the top will sell you a parachute that will slow falling speed.
Is that useable anywhere? If so, it would be worth noting as well, and at under 1g each, it's a lot faster and cheaper than farming rep for Skyguard.

The parachute has a duration of, at max, 30 mins.

And Slow Fall can now be cast on others, so the OP should list 'having a friendly mage nearby' as a solution to your falling needs.
Yet another reason to support your local mage.
Same for levitate.
