Allakhazam.or Zam?

I have just had to format my computer this weekend. I wasn't able to keep or save any files or programs, so today I've been adding bookmarks that I remembered and didn't need to look up first.

Among them was Wowhead.com, and Allakhazam.com was the place I used to go to before I knew Wowhead. I still think it's a good Site to have bookmarked, and so I entered the URL into the adress field and hit Enter.

But I never arrived at Allakhazam. Immediately after I hit Enter I saw the adress change, and shortly after a WebSite I had never seen before turned up in my browser.
It's name was Zam.com.

It's a Gamer WebSite somewhat like many others, but it has no real content of it's own, and most of what is there has to do with encouraging people to spend money. - It has "borrowed" bits and pieces here and there ... some pre-views and a couple of AddOns. And for the games that they claim to cover with updates and news etc. they have two or three links as well.

For WoW they have three links: Thotbott.com, Allakhazam.com (the WebSite they redirected me away from!), and Wowhead.com.

I locked the tab down, opened another and went to WoW's official WebSite and tried to access Allakhazam from there, but was redirected to Zam.com again.
After 4 attempts I finally tried to access Allakhazam from here at Wowhead by directly clicking the link you have to Allakhazam.com.

It didn't make any difference.

So now I am effectively unable to reach Allakhazam.com, and I have to assume that so are everybody else who might try to go there.

I felt it was the right thing to do to make you aware about this Zam.com WebSite.

Thanks for the info!
I have to say I didn't think it was Allakhazam. I had the thought of course, but thought it was very unlike Allakhazam's style.

And yet, when I went to the link you have provided just now, the impression I got was to some degree different from my first impression.
I guess the way you intepret an experience can be vastly altered by the circumstances under which you do it.

But at the end of the day I'm glad to find that the reason for this insane re-direction that went on over and over after all turns out to be nothing more than a well-known WebSite who has moved to a new block in a different neighborhood.

... and I will hesitate a bit longer next time something like this happens!
