I also found a log that said the marker speaks to everyone, people who aren't smart enough go insane normally, but intelligent people have blueprints forced into their heads. It could have just been marker 12 though.Nah, it's more than Marker 12. That's how they built Marker 12, from the blueprints inside Isaac and Nolan's heads left from the Red Marker.

Wait, so what the hell happens during the Nicole end event at DS2?
It makes no sense now that I think of it.The Marker is trying it's hardest to manipulate Isaac into killing himself and becoming one with the Marker. Isaac is trying his hardest to resist it. The final battle is a metaphor for that internal struggle.

I read a theory once that made a lot of sense to me:
An acient dying alien race created various markers (probably all like the Black) and sent them through space in order to preserve their race. The markings are an instruction for their DNA; allowing them to either be created by a sentient race or FROM them. (In Aftermath, the Marker literally just MAKES Necros with no human interaction needed. The only thing Nolan did was give it a dead guy.)
The Necromorphs are their DNA's attempt to assimilate/combine with ours. We simply cannot combine with it to properly make them.
Forseeing this, the marker will attempt to warn sentient races. But, the signal is so alien that humans have problems understanding it; leading to those classic hallucinations. The marker should eventually realize this and use Convergance as a final 'fail safe.'
The Black Marker was perfect and could have done all this, but the humans actually took care of the Necromorphs themselves.
The Red marker couldn't achieve convergance.
Issac's Marker was even more retarded then normal when it came to comunicating. Hell, it might of meant "Issac, inorder to complete Convergance, you must bake this batch of cookies for me."

But in Phillip's mind, he beat it. He found Nagorm, he payed the price, and he is alive.

In all fairness, Phillip can't even be remotely blammed for this...

I wonder, could priestess of elune(Taelani included) become an avatar of vengeance?I'm not sure...
Post by

Probably not; looks like only the Wardens are capable of that.

The
Spirit
and
Avatar
of Vengeance; sounds like both are summoned from dead bodies rather then the Warden transforming into them....so unless the Priestess is about to die......

Back in. So sorry I haven't been able to get on. Had a lot of stuff to do, and right when I thought I was gonna be able to get back here, my dad pulled me aside to give me an hour long talk about stuff I need to know about the Army. And seeing as how I ship out in 32 days, I appreciate him telling me stuff I need to know, but it really eats up my internet time.

Your shipping out soon? GL Skree, guess it's been a long time in coming huh.Heh, yep. Been really preparing. Doing a lot of running and pushups/situps. Went out and put 50 rounds or so through my dad's M4... Excited and terrified at the same time.
