Kind of funny how the Shatterspear probably will not be around for that much longer if a full-scale war starts, after all they are not exactly that large a tribe on their own, or are they? That would mean if they attack before getting the proper backing of the Horde and the sentinels are quick to counterattack in full force the tribe itself will be crushed very quickly. The ones who started the war will not even be around to see it progress.
And what about all the other races? How are they likely to react?

I don't think he was chieftain? And he asked for it.
From my POV, Taelani asked for it way more. But I'm probably biased.

And I would say they both asked for it. Ja'Kala continued the cycle of hatred, but then again Taelani went and butchered hundreds belonging to his tribe.

Shatterspear City is the 2nd largest troll city on Kalimdor, with only Shadowprey City being larger. And unlike in game, where it's a 'small' location, it's not that in the world of A20L; there are docks and roosts that connect it to the rest of the world.

Well, if it gets to that point I don't think I'll be interested. I don't feel like throwing thousand page developed characters against each other, and its nice to have a neutral RP.
We don't have to use those characters. I created a new character to get in on it, as I don't want to use any of my existing ones.

Well, I'm not saying that Ja is innocent there, just that it's way more easier for me to sympathize with him=P
But you're right about the cycle of hatred, even though it may be above a normal
man
troll not to give in to their hatred.

I agree. However, a cold-war style stand off might be interesting. Maybe the Horde would be capable of restraining the Shatterspear to enough of an extent to prevent open war, with a few minor conflicts in various places, but nothing full-scale. I mean, I cannot see some races of the Horde liking the idea of a proper war, Tauren especially; though I am not sure where exactly they stand in this RP.

OMG, who wants a WoW spy war? That would be the most badass thing, ever.

Exactly, we could have standoffs between the armies of the
Western nations and the Communists
*ahem* the Alliance and the Horde in various places and maybe they could discreetly fund less favorable factions and the more minor races so as to gain their support and have them try to stamp out potential allies of the opposing faction in various areas. And it would be interesting having a spy war, Alliance spy organisations versus the Horde ones and that kind of thing.
And we could always throw in some points where it goes close to war, perhaps with people getting bumped off by spies of the opposing faction, without it developing into a proper full-scale war.
Just some ideas. But it certainly would be interesting to have a Cold-war style confrontation in the wow universe imo, though everyone would have to be keen on that idea for it to work.

I think it'd be fun. Like War Evolved, but in actual WoW instead of several hundred years in the future.
Also, I say we need to do regime changes + rebellions.

Yeah, that would be cool. And maybe throw some puppet leaders/governments into the mix.
Also, what is War Evolved? Is that a game or something?

Funden tried it as an RPG; WoW40k.
I had no characters who really fit in it...

Nah, it was more like the Cold War of WoW. On Wings of Steel will be getting a 40k char soon though. Maybe.

Speaking of Wings;
Would it be unreasonable that a demon could teleport right into a ship? Or would they have to begin on the hull and get inside?
Just for when Fel Knights start slaughtering people...

What ship?
And I would imagine that it would be bloody difficult to do.

Any of them that might further Fal'Lok's plans if the crew is slaughtered. Templar or Cabal ships would be targets; although he wants to corroupt the Templar, not kill them.

Still, killing the chieftain's brother isn't a small thing... :P
And I'm still in Fallout, the game just crashed on me... >.< Stupid Bethesda...
