"I take it that means we should act now."
Flamehowl turned to Ga'Crane. "Ga'Crane, I'll need you to catch any excess power that may bleed out as I shatter the weapon. I have to make sure it is truly destroyed and the majority of the power is in the crystals before I shut the circles. I'll need you to catch the power and redirect it somewhere."

"Very well, Star-Pelt," Flamehowl said, and turned towards the Scythe. It lifted into the air and started rotated slowly. Sparks flashed across the metal as it started to heat up. Flames sprung to life underneath it, and started to warp the metal. A vein popped out on Flamehowl's forehead, quite the achievement considering he had fur, and he started to pant.
"It's breaking," he grunted, and tore his hands apart. The Scythe shrieked in protest, then shattered. The pieces dissolved into violet light, which transferred to the crystals. Sparks leapt from them and into the air. Finally, with a burst of will, the circles around the crystals snapped shut, sealing the power inside.
Flamehowl twitched once, then collapsed.
