The troll gloomily followed the others. He was pretty sure he did not let the shadows rule over him - he returned back to normal the moment his enemy fell dead, and he had used them in such a way only because he knew one thing for sure - if he had not done so, his friends would have been endangered.

"As a matter of fact, yes," Robert said after recoiling from the blast. He hurled three Light-infused grenades at Vorlek and made a somersault backwards, covering his eyes.
Vatec looked down on his gauntlet and smiled. He incinerated the blood that was left after punching Amora, and calmly followed her, steadily shortening the distance between them.
Aeglos hissed, and before the bayonet could reach him, hurled Ripper at Xennar and made a desperate leap away.

"I think it's just that no one really expected that of you," Gurka replied, taking a moment to think. "Powers like yours make everyone uncomfortable. Seeing one of your friends use them, is, frankly, shocking, even if it's the right thing to do in that situation. I don't think you did anything wrong, even if it was more gruesome than I prefer."
