Themra gasped as a bullet blew a chunk out of her right forearm. Her mind raced as she tried to find a solution to the problem. If she went back to Warlord Garth after failing... well, the best case would that she'd only get a public whipping.
On the other hand, the enemy hadn't fallen from her bluff, and she stood a good chance of dying if she stook to her guns any longer.
Deciding to give it one last shot, she summoned up ever last iota of strength she had left to pounce at the unconscious elf before the golem got to her, holding the knife against her throat for one more hostage attempt.
"I serve the Horde," she growled. "You should know what that means. If the Horde cannot take her in, then I shall spill her blood right here and now and no one will get the reward."

Curho pondered the methods the book was going on about, frowning. The realm of souls was not his strong point, but he knew enough about runes that he may be able to pull off what the book required - in a different fashion from what it listed, however.
He looked over at a stone slab half-buried in the sand. The Grand Warlock held his hand out towards it, mumbling demonic words as he carved runes into the stone's surface.
