"It's a present my uncle gave me," Gurka answered, hobbling quickly towards her room. "When I was born," she continued, entering and immediately digging into her pack. "An amulet of raptor-strength," she grinned, pulling out a necklace of polished bone and claw. "I used to put it on whenever I felt scared or insecure, and it always made me feel better. I don't know if it's actually magical, or if it was just me, but I think it's worth a shot!" she grinned.
