"I could use some help..." Phillip replied. A loud crashing echoed as Blackbite came tumbling down the stairs, the warp-stalker running and hiding behind Malice as Aquafur stepped over and stood victoriously; the water worg now the size of a full-grown wolf.
Phillip sighed. "The competent sort... I mean..."

Ga'Crane's eyes narrowed and he cracked his knuckles.
"Ah'll come to joo if thin's go south here, Gurka. Wish we could spend more time together," he growled, turning to Flamehowl, "Let us do it, brother."

"Alright," Flamehowl nodded, and held out a hand. "It'll be a minute. I traced his portal, but I didn't have time to open one there. The cave was collapsing around me."
After a few seconds, the rip in space appeared, showing the inside of what looked to be an ancient, undeground city.

Ga'Crane rolled his shoulders again, glow in his eyes growing brighter. It extended then to his bloodstream as veins all over his body began to radiate purple shimmering from beneath his skin, forming additional runic patterns. Even his hair seemed to turn into an amaranthine halo of flames.
"Azjol'Nerub?" he asked, stepping through, air in his immediate vicinity thick and twisted, forming all sorts of optical illusions for the onlookers.

Flamehowl stepped through as well. "Yes," he said softly. "I recognize it."
He dropped to all fours and sniffed. "He went this way," he growled, and started along at a quick pace down one of the tunnels, moving completely silently.

Ga'Crane followed in wide strides, after weaving a muffling spell and inverting its threads so that it was nigh undetectable. His fingers and ears twitched ever so slightly.

After a few minutes, they came to a large portcullis. Behind it, a large tunnel could be seen, with blue glowing torches sitting in sconces on the wall.
"Grab the gate," Flamehowl whispered, then created several threads of fire, which burned through the metal of the portcullis, causing it to fall forward.

Ga'Crane reached out with his mind and violet flames engulfed the portcullis, suspending it in the air and dissolving it into nothingness in seconds, with just a handful of dust falling onto the ground.

Flamehowl padded inside. Indistinctly, he could hear the sound of somebody talking, voice low and gravelly.

Ga'Crane's ears twitched, but he could not quite discern the words for now, so he continued to move.

Eventually, Flamehowl came upon the entrance to a small room, which was open. Khaz stood with his back to them, and, across the room, Adalis was chained to a wall. She was beaten, weathered, but the gleam of defiance still shone in her eyes.
"Again," Khaz grumbled. "You know about these things, or else they wouldn't have taken you."
Adalis just spat in his face. "The Goddess hates you. You are an abomination, and as soon as I get out of these chains, you'll be dead."

I'll go after Adalis's chains, they look like their dampening chains. You go after Khaz, and I'll join you when she's free.

Ga'Crane nodded.
The door was slammed open and a field of energy engulfed Khaz, hurtling him across the room and into a wall like a rag doll while biting into him with arcane flames.

A barrier of pure uncertainty formed around Khaz, causing the arcane barrier to disintegrate.
As this happened, Flamehowl launched several bolts of flame threads, which sliced Adalis's chains right off of her wrists.

Several slabs size of a mammoth got torn out of the walls and the floor and came crashing down on Khaz, two at a time so as to squeeze him in between.

Khaz hissed and reformed, flowing between the blocks, then reforming outside the range. He pulled a pistol from his pocket and opening fire on the troll.

A barrier of purple flames engulfed Ga'Crane, thin but concentrating for a fraction of a second in one spot when a bullet came too close, turning it into dust. The death knight's apprentice replied with a thin, white-hot jet of arcane flame.

Khaz formed a portal in front of himself, redirecting the arcane flame at Ga'Crane's back. He raised the pistol to attack further, but was struck from behind by a moonbeam.
He cried out and fell to his knees.

Ga'Crane threw his hand back, absorbing his own spell with no visible effort. He spun around, a blade of pure energy forming in hand, and thrust his weapon into Khaz's chest.
