Corvus began spinning his spear again - just in time, for the sand grains seemed to gradually become larger, with a couple of melon-sized boulders appearing every so often.
"Almost there," he uttered, through clenched teeth and without moving his lips more than it was strictly necessary.

What appeared to be bowling balls-of all things-smashed into the boulders to stop them. "Conjuration magics; help conserve mana." Phillip explained.

"Whatever-" Corvus replied, batting a boulder away "-floats your boat!"
"You told me this would make me unstoppable - and yet what do I see?" the centaur ringleader demanded of a hooded figure standing at his side. The gargantuan half-sentient loomed over the human - he was too bulky for an elf, too scrawny for an orc and too tall for a dwarf - pointing at him with a staff.
"Patience, khan," the humanoid - whose attire was decorated to look like it was made of web, unless it was really made of web of sorts - hissed in reply, carelessly batting the tip of the staff away. "They shall fall like all the others before them. Let your windcallers do their job."
The khan frowned and began hurtling things at the duo again, while two females at his sides unleashed a barrage of lightning bolts on them. The hooded human, meanwhile, was checking meticulously a small runic circle, resting on the ground several steps away from khan.

Phillip launched some gasoline forward; intercepting one of the lightning barrages and lighting aflame. The fire rushed forward; splashing over the female that had hit it and covering her in the fire.

The centaur khan let our a deafening roar of anger, watching one of his consorts being burned alive, and thus breaking his concentration - long enough for the Praetorian to hurl the spear into him and through his throat.
The hooded human frowned, snatched the staff and stepped into the runic circle, vanishing from sight. Chaos ensued - leaderless centaurs either attempted to run for it, or attempted to trample the duo.
"Careful about that circle, it can be booby trapped!" Corvus warned, hopping onto one of the centaurs and snapping his neck.

Phillip nodded, rushing for the circle and getting a centaur to follow him. At the last second, the mage dove to the side and let the horseman run right into the rune.

"Boom. Yuck."
When bowels and hooves began raining from the sky, the centaurs had had enough. Howling in fear, they made their escape.
Corvus was standing atop a massive crater left by the explosion, whistling a tune.
"Think you can decipher the trail?"

Morec stepped out of a tavern and towards Russel and Taelani. "So, I take it you two made it here safetly?" he said, chunging down the entire pint of ale he held in his hands. Having no stomach to hold it, the drink poured out of the rot holes in his skin and breaks in his armor.

With Pyrewood Village in sight Alpha slowed and stood back to his full height. Fang and Claw did the same. "Let's see what we can do here," said Alpha to no one in particular as he walked towards the town.

"The barbarians were hardly a threat... Either we were underestimated, or they are lulling us into a false sense of security. Or both," Corvus said thoughtfully, pinching the bridge of his nose.

Kali sighed to herself as she watched her pet being moved into new quarters; a lavish room with a huge bed with silk sheets. She smiled as she watched the shattered worgen moving slowly around, her eyes blank after the most recent round of pain and pleasure the undead elf had delivered. "
Now, to put her back together.
" She murmured, smiling wider as she thought about what she was going to do.

The Worgen were careful to keep their expressions neutral, though Leonard was glad that the Priestess had escaped, even if she was as much of criminal as they had said. "Alright." Lobo more or less barked, looking at the others, then turned to the little girl who had been left behind. He carefully crouched down, trying to look non-threatening as he transformed back into Dennis. "Dawn, we promised both Russel and the Priestess we'd get you home. Shall we leave now?" He asked her, and looked at his mate and daughter, who were waiting before going to her.

"Yes we are." Dennis answered and stepped back to let Miranda and Yuri get closer to the girl. "We are all from Gilneas." He said and looked over at the group of hunters one last time before turning away. "Lucas, Leonard, do we have all our supplies?" He asked, and the other two nodded.
"We should get moving then." He told them, and looked at his daughter. "Miranda, would you mind carrying little Dawn?"He asked and she nodded back.

"That Phillip guy wanted me to check up on you two," Morec said. "And welcome to Stratholme Madam Taelani. How are you finding my family's city?"
"A shame you don't own it."
"Meh, Blightcaller wont last forever."
"Treasonous thoughts?"
"Rot and maggots."
It took all of Amanda's will not to gag at the Light-user still in their pressence as she followed him and Urdish outside. Then she remembered; he still had the book from Scholomance she had brought back somewhere in her shoulderbag... No, this matter was more important. She would turn the book in to Father Skreel upon their return. "The stables are this way," Amanda said, heading towards them.

Emberstone village and mine, one of the first places to be struck by the worgen summoned by Arugal, now as home to many human Gilneans as worgen. "I'm going to make sure we have a place to say before I began speaking," Alpha said. "If you have anything you need to do, Duskhide, feel free to attend to it while I find us lodgings."

Miranda smiled a little as she saw the pout, and shifted to Lupe. "Your mother did did she?" The young woman asked as she held her arms out to the girl. "You'll get to ride on my shoulders little Dawn; we worgens can move fairly quickly when we want to, and that will be the best place for you." Lupe told her, smiling at the girl as the others stretched and shifted, preparing to head towards where the girl's father was suppose to be.
