Cyrus briefly told Kishkumaen how Ebony assaulted his master's manor, how she was sent with her tail between her legs, and how she leveled an orphanage out of spite.
"Why am I telling you thith? Jutht tho that you know - our enemieth are monthterth. Worthe than demonth. And, even though motht of them were thent to Burning Hellth for their crimeth, a poththibility yet remainth that a thliver of the vile organithation thtill eggthithtth. Are you following my lead?" Cyrus asked, taking out a sack with gold coins.

Sarvaraad rubbed his hands, grinning ear to ear, and shot them forward. A number of snakes that seemed to be composed entirely of fire burst out of his palms, fell on the ground and slithered away with surprising speed. After a second, another squad, for lack of a better word, appeared, and proceeded to follow the first spawn. The process repeated several times, and then, for ten minutes or so, the place grew quiet, and no trails of the snakes could be seen. Then...

Kishkumaen waited patiently, and soon Jonathon entered the house. "I felt a portal," Jonathon said. "Who was it?"
"My employer," Kishkumaen replied. "I need a portal to Undermine."
Jonathon nodded and started towards a cabinet set into the wall, containing several drinks. He took one out and poured it into a glass. "On one condition," he said, taking a sip.
Kishkumaen frowned. "What?" he asked warily.
"I go with you."
Kishkumaen chuckled, relieved. "Of course, of course. I'd like somebody to watch my back."
The mage nodded at him and started into the room set aside for portals. "I'll call you in when it's ready," he said as he departed. Kishkumaen nodded and settled back to wait.

The priestess created a strong shield around Balah'amin, the ball of light magic she had created earlier appeared next to the pup as well, to keep her from gnawing at the shield. The priestess slightly in Star-Pelt's direction, "if she worked with Dag'rema we cannot simply let her go," she stated.
