I am sure they probably have the ability to do so. Although I haven't had this experience before, I would bet they also would be unwilling to do so. If it were somehow equipped through a game glitch then maybe - but the dealings I've had with them regarding accidents in-game tend to get the answer of, "We're sorry, there's nothing we can do."

Considering they make you confirm when you equip, that must have been some accident.

They generally won't help you in this case; as xara said, you clicked "yes".

Well, look at the bright side, you'll have little trouble with shards when you level =)

Very large chance that they won't help, especially given their past actions on similar matters. For example, back before the confirmation on purchasing arena/tier gear, you used to be able to petition immediately (within a few hours) after making the mistake and get the token/points refunded. However, after they implemented the confirmation system on these purchases they've since switched to the standing that "you confirmed the purchase, thus you are stuck with it. sorry"
In light of that, I'd say you're SoL. Sorry >_<

I opened a petition and in about 10 minutes later I had a talk with this GM, he asked me if I really want to un-soulbind the item and after confirming I had a new bag (I had to delete the original one) awaiting in my mailbox. How about that? :)
Grats on that, most other GM's are assholes and wouldn't do it.

Actually, the 3-4 times I've interacted with GMs, they seemed fairly pleasant and helpful.
