Legion is right around the corner, and as we get ready for the Broken Isles, we're putting the finishing touches on some new guides. Here is a look at our Legion Profession and Reputation guides! Thank you to all of our users who have contributed guides, comments, screenshots, and videos for this content.
Profession Guides
Professions in Legion emphasize the fantasy of a crafter, traveling around the world to discover new recipes. Each Legion profession has an elaborate questline sending the player to a number of outdoor zones and dungeons to learn core recipes. For example, the Dalaran Alchemy Lab is completely destroyed and you must travel around the world to repair and replace each piece of equipment. A special thanks to varenne for detailed profession quest comments and videos left on all the database pages!
Legion Recipes have ranks, allowing you to use less materials to craft the same item as you progress. All of these ranks are from different places, ranging from vendors to bosses, so collecting is a fun mini-game. In addition, professions have more longevity through the

system. You can destroy any crafted item to get some

(or smaller pieces of Ash). Use 2
Sangre de Sargeras
to fuse
Obliterum
onto a piece of gear; this will increase the ilvl of your crafted armor by +5, up to ilvl 850.

Reputation Guides
Reputation is less grindy than Warlords of Draenor; much of your reputation will be earned by completing the story quests for each zone while leveling and then completing max-level World Quests.
Friendly with all factions save Wardens is required for

All factions have some gear, toys, pets, and recipes to purchase. A few factions have additional flair: Nightfallen reputation is required for Arcway and Court of Stars dungeon attunement, Dreamweavers has two tabards that require reputation, and Highmountain sells fun totem accessories. Reputations are also required for a few hidden artifact appearance items:
