Tooltips not working?

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I love to use Wowhead for instance and loot information; however, my tooltips have stopped working. I can still mouse over them (tooltips meaning the information you recieve when you mouse over an item in a list, AND the lists under Items/Forums/Spells, etc.), but every time I do I get a white bar in the top left corner of the screen the same size as the tooltip that's opening. It's making it impossible to use the database and nearly impossible to use the forums. Does anyone have any tips on how to fix it?
For the record, I tried zooming in and out, clearing my entire Internet Explorer cache/temporary files, and redownloading Adobe Flash Player.

Are you using IE in compatibility mode?

This sounds like an IE8 issue. Try running it in compatibility mode and see if that fixes it?
