I really don't see what blood has over frost that would make a noticeable difference as far as survivability is concerned. Frost gets 2% less damage taken, and 3% more avoidance. The only big difference i see is maybe better single target threat gen with blood, but lower aoe threat gen since you wont have HB.

um... I love my blood as much as you love your frost and I changed to frost to try it since I got a free respec from patch.
I lost a lot I think.
I only have 3 pieces of Heroic gear and the rest is lower than that and I've never lv 80 raided so my thoughts might not way much.
Some bosses I could do solo due to the amount of self healing I gave myself. 4% dmg into heal, 6k Heal evey death, 21%hp every 30 secounds, (I also had Gift of Narru healing). Every one of those Healing could be increased by 35% with Vamp blood. Not to mention the 4% of max hp (Great for aoe dmg) mark of blood. Also, 10% healing to all party members feels nice after an AoE. (with glyp)
As blood I have... 3% miss and -1k to -2k dmg per hit UBA.
BUT, My dmg had almost doubled. Death strike crit -3k with 23% crit as blood and 4500 dmg crit Howling or Oblit with 42%crit with Oblit. (Killing Machine crit for Howling.)

Bara - I would say if you are low on stamina and undergeared. Blood is going to be an easier mode simply because you end up with more health and have self healing built in (free hot). Your healing situation is sort of like mine though. Healers tend to heal better and more often an undergeared tank than the overgeared one. They relax when I am tanking and now they can't. So it seems harder, but in essence the difference between blood and frost is negligible.
Frost is mitigation/cooldown based. Blood is health/stam based. Unholy is magic mitigation based. Acclimation is amazingly helpful on casters as well. I specced into it and have been very happy with the results. It procs more than I thought it would. ChillBlains is shrug worthy. It's okay, the nice part is in some situations it allows the caster to get away before someone attacks him.
