Since the release of WotLK, Paladins have been the best tanks in all positions by far. DKs held the title of best MT before they were nerfed into oblivion. Although with the removal of Exorcise, and the Taunt not dealing damage unless the target isn't targeting you, Paladin threat is less than that of a well geared DK/War.
Basically, it doesn't really matter what class you choose, they're all great at tanking. I prefer Paladins as they bring a unique buff to the raid (Blessing of Sanctuary), nice utility with JoL or JoW, and superior mitigation. But it's really up to you.

I don't recall exorcism being removed.

Argent Defender, Blessing of Sanctuary, Judgement of Light, Sacred Shield, Lay on Hands...
It's the Paladin's mitigation that I love. And the built-in, automatic, Soulstone.

It's better than a soulstone because you don't lose your buffs like you do with a soulstone!
Agreed. Its very nice (although hopefully you don't need it) in raids, just in case your healer afk's or d/c'es.

If you don't mind farming heroics, there are excellent pieces from the badge vendor like the
neck
and
hands
. You should start collecting Triumph emblems via dailies so you will have a head start when 3.3 hits. These
shoulders
are really good. Again, just go for the biggest upgrade first.
In my opinion, I would hold off on working hard gearing your tank until 3.3 arrives.. if you can wait. I do VoA and Ony10/25 on my DPS toons but I'm going to wait to see what drops in the new 5-mans. Triumph badges will drop from heroics AND you get 2 more for completing a heroic using their LFD tool so farming emblems will be faster for some really nice gear.

I
Any tips on where should I try to gear up? My average gear level is around 200, pretty crappy i know. I got most Heroic Drops that I could, except for ToC since I just came back. Should I try to get some Naxx pugs or no one is pugging Naxx anymore? I know i'll probably find some OS and Vault PUGs, those are fast Raids probalby everyone still run them even if outdated. Maybe some Ulduar 10-man pugs? What do you guys say? Also, what kind of gear it's recommended to start trying Trial of the Crusader?
I would say don't even try to tank ToC until you have gone to ulduar a few times, especially if you have blue pieces.
