Fish Mount Model Preview, Fishing in Legion, Darkmoon Faire in Town

Today's Legion news is very fishy! We're taking a closer look at the new Fish Mount in Legion and an early preview of fishing developments. The Darkmoon Faire is also back in town for a week.
Legion Fish Mount
The most recent Legion build added a fishing mount model and this video previews some of the animations, including swimming in the water. For more alpha videos,

Legion Fishing Preview
Legion fishing has some wild changes in store, like the addition of a
Fishing Artifact Weapon
that looks like an
impaled murloc
. There are several types of fish and fishing related items you can fish up in Legion, which Serrinne and I have been investigating both in-game and in the data.
The datamined fish you can catch are:
Schwarzer Barrakuda
from the ocean,
Runenschuppenkoi
from Suramar,
Sturmrochen
from Stormheim,
Hochberglachs
from Highmountain,
Mooskiemenbarsch
from Val'sharah,
Verfluchter Königinnenfisch
from Azsuna,
Silbermakrele
. These are used in a variety of cooking delicacies including
Fischbrul Spezial
which unleashes Pepper-Breath Fireballs and
Soldatenfutter
which increases out of combat health regeneration by 1000%. You can see a full list of recipes requiring each fish by going to the "Reagent for" tab on any fish's item page.

Finally, while we don't know how to acquire the artifact yet, we'd be remiss in talking about Legion Fishing without mentioning the Artifact Fishing Pole. The
Underlight Angler Pole
has a number of traits like every other artifact. These traits increase the chance to catch fish in open waters like

, and grant a chance to catch Blood of Sargeras (legion crafting item) while fishing in

. There are also some more fantastical perks like turning into a fish in

Darkmoon Faire In Town

Darkmoon Faire
is back in town and runs from
February 7 - 14
.
The Darkmoon Faire this month overlaps with the
Draenor Dungeon Event
. As mobs in these dungeons grant reputation during the event, you can increase your reputation gains with either of the following buffs:
