Marksmanship Hunters still live to hit hard and crit harder, but Mists of Pandaria shakes things up just enough to keep us on our toes. Our Mastery,
精通:野性箭弹
, is unchanged, and
精确瞄准
is buffed to increase our Critical Strike chance to 80%, so our initial burst is higher than ever!
Marksmanship Hunter DPS Overview
Hunters as a class do get a few big updates. We no longer carry a melee “stat stick,” and ranged weapons now sit in the Main-Hand slot, so they give more primary and secondary stats. Expertise is also now useful for Hunters in Mists of Pandaria Classic. Because our shots can be dodged, we now need 7.5% Hit and 7.5% Expertise to be fully capped. The good news is that our shots can no longer be blocked!
You’re still juggling Focus like a boss, deciding when to dump with
瞄准射击
or
奇美拉射击
, and now that our ranged weapons are Main Hand, every shot feels that much more powerful, so it's a great time to play Marksmanship!
Spell Changes
Your go-to Marksmanship spells remain largely the same, but Chimera Shot gets a serious damage boost, and even puts
猎人印记
on your target.
瞄准射击
and
奇美拉射击
have swapped positions almost, with Chimera Shot now actually hitting harder, which becomes quite important in your rotation later, when previously it was mostly okay to delay your Chimera Shots a bit.
Unlike Beast Mastery and Survival, we don't get
反制射击
as an interrupt; rather, we'll once again be using
沉默射击
, a blast from the past.
Deterrence is gone, and this might be a hit considering it was our main DPS Cooldown. It's not particularly missed, though, as it was very annoying to utilize to its full extent.
And finally, at level 87, you’ll get
群兽奔腾
, a five-minute cooldown that summons all your pets from the stable to fight for you.
Talent Changes
Talents are reshuffled, too. Several Marksmanship talents are now passives in Mists of Pandaria. We keep the most important Talents as passives, and the general feel of the spec changes almost nothing due to that.
狙击高手
is now a passive, as before it allowed you to cast free Aimed Shots over time. In Mists of Pandaria, however, this will happen much more frequently, making the rotation more dynamic.
精确瞄准
is also a passive, and has been changed to increase your Critical Strike chance by 75% on targets above 80% Health.
The classic Improved Steady Shot is now also a passive and lives under
稳固集中
- the duration of the buff is significantly increased, making it much easier to keep up.
Finally,
狂轰滥炸
is also now a passive: whenever you crit, your next
多重射击
costs half Focus for 5 seconds.
Rotation Changes
Surprisingly, your rotation barely changes. You still have three distinct DPS phases: the burn during Careful Aim, the main phase, and then the execute phase. The priority during these three phases remains mostly the same as well; however, Chimera Shot is now an integral part of the Careful Aim phase.
Deciding between Aimed Shot and Arcane Shot is as tricky as ever. Aimed Shot typically edges ahead slightly, if it doesn’t delay your Chimera Shot, but honestly, the gap isn’t as massive as you'd think. If you prefer dumping your Focus with Arcane Shot instead, it won't make or break your Damage meters.
Remember: Chimera Shot is now your most important spell. It’s magic-based and ignores armor, so it will be your highest-hitting spell.
Pet Changes
Pets get a big rework. Any pet can use any Specialization, so you can keep the look you like without losing damage. Specific Pets also bring almost every raid utility you could need, for example:
狼
brings a Critical Chance boost with
狂怒之嚎
.
豹
gives your raid 3000 Mastery via
勇气咆哮
.
野猪
applies
物理易伤
through
撞击
.
