Despite the low level of these potions and how easy they are to make, they are a great asset even at high levels. It's great for debuff intensive fights like Chromaggus in Blackwing Lair, as well as in PvP against classes that use Damage Over Times.
The only downside is the use of your potion cooldown, but still well worth it in many situations.
Quest reward. After you complete the quest, talk to him again (he's upstairs in the inn at Kargath) and he will give you Badlands Reagent Run II.
Then you'll get the recipe
Before my Rogue hit TBC and CloS... or before Blizzard changed Vanish so that it moves Hunter's Mark... this was the potion to rock.
While waiting for MC, I used to farm the Elemental Earth near Kargath.
Astoundingly powerful against warlocks and shadow priests pre-BC expansion.
Does not work against level 61+ spells.
This is THE Warsong Gulch Flag Running potion. It will get you out of a jam a lot faster than a swiftness potion.
very good for grinding especially if your fighting locks or good against shadow priests as well
Unfortunately the effect of this potion is a magic buff on you for the duration, so it can easily be devoured or dispelled in pvp.
Seems like this potion is being phased out with endgame content, it won't dispel Archimonde's magic based fear. I've tried it several times and hitting it just before he finishes casting fear, I get the buff, and it never dispels the fear off...pretty lame :\
this stuff is great, drops the sap, kills warlocks and priests main damages
Thottbot isn't showing this potions properties. Can't see what its actual effects are
I know these are a quest reward, but it also shows the ingredients to make it. But no recipie? Anyone know if there is a recipie or if you can learn to make them somehow?
Ok, I did the Reagent Run, and got the 5 potions. But I did not "automatically" learn hotw to make them. I had to talk to the quest giver again and he gave me a quest to get 3 Vessels of Dragon's Blood from the elite dragonkin in east badlands (Badlands Reagent Run II). After completing that quest, then he taught me to make them. So that "small" detail was left out... :P
An alchemst gets a fallow-up quest, with a reward of learning the recipe.
so u need 1 earth element and 1 goldthorn to make this with 5 charges? wow thats really worth it ...
Do these work on Chromaggus?
Made some today, will see how well they work on Chrom fight tomorrow.
This works for the Hunter Epic quest against the demon in Winterspring.
If you get too close while kiting him (like me... :/) then he turns you into a demon and your dead. (also does 650 damage per second!)
Pop one of these and keep running! Nice and easy........Yeah right, but it helps.
This potion is great against warlocks/priests. Free action potion is wonderful against mages/hunters. As a warrior, these pots have let me win many more encounters with these classes.
these do not work on kri
Is this stuff really that rare? I see it in the AH like once every 4 months and even then it seems a bit pricey at around 10g for a "stack" of 5.
Rare because people are lazy and eaither haven't completed the quest chain or dosen't realize how good this potion is. If you are well into PvE or PvP this potion alone makes it worth while to level an alchemist alt.
In PvP it practically Nullifies Affliction warlocks.
i tried several times to pick up the quest, one of the posts (either on thott or allakhazam) says you need high herbalism.
the requirements for the quest are level 40, and 225 alchemy. there might be an herb requirement too, but you definitely need 225 alchemy.
you get this after finding the mushrooms around the uldaman instance.
the quests are:
they're not as hard as they seem, the vials you need have a fast cast time, and if you leave yourself someplace to run to or vanish you can do it as fast as the cooldown. you don't have to weaken or kill the mobs.
I use these all the time in the Battlegrounds at lvl 70 and they are fantastic. Well worth the very cheap mats. How come more people don't know about this? Way more valuable than healing pots.
I didn't manage to dispell moonfire and insect swarm with this.
Has anyone tried this on Boss fights such as Archimonde ? Would it decurse Grip of the Legion for instance ?
I am curious to know.
Yes, Restorative Potions do remove Grip of the Legion during the Archi fight. Much better choice to use than Purification pots 'cause if you get Gripped twice within 30 secs, the Restorative Potion will remove both applications of Grip.
Hunters, note that this will clean the artorius's curse for our epic quest, so it can help a lot in this fight.
This is one of the most useful pots to have on you. It's on a separate timer from combat pots (healing/rage/etc) and does work in combat. Especially at high levels it is very useful and not particularly expensive so you can always have a few on you.
This taught to you by completeing the quest chain given by the alchemist trainer in Loch Modan.
For the Alliance players, atleast.
Anybody know if these work on the stuff chromaggus throws at you? These things would put the brood afflictions (except bronze) on ezmode. Or at least provide an out if you got 4/5 on you and didn't want to worry about turning into a death talon.

It sez on Thott that there is a recipe to make these, but it seems too good to be true.
Anybody? This pot is a rogue's dream.
Just got this recipe, it's not only uldaman, there's a guy in Loch Modan that gives you a quest chain, real easy and these things rock!
Do these still work on level 60 poions/disease/magic debuffs?
i havent used yet but it looks as though this would be very useful against a priest in BG
I'm cant wait to do the Badlands Regeant run II quest to get the Recipe for this. The high level players on my server pay a lot of money for these.
Step 1: Do
, Turn it in. Note: For Alliance, this quest is given by
in Thelsamar, Loch Modan
Step 2: Do
. Note, you do not need to enter the dungeon to do this quest. It can be done in the cave outside. However, if there is high traffic, you may consider waiting as the spawn points seemed low and respawns were slow. I may have had a bit of competition though.
Step 3: Do
. Elite quest. If youre doing this at low level you probably need a group. You arent required to kill the elites, as just using the item on them will get the job done, but if you are unsure of your ability to get away, even having someone to help you get away is fine. I did this chain at 60 on my warrior because I didnt know it awarded the recipe and as expected there was 0 troubles.
Once you turn it in, he will automatically teach you the recipe.

Just did this 2-part quest chain to obtain the recipe on Classic WoW on 9FEB2020 @ 11:40pm CST...

Restorative potion does not remove the curse "Hex of Jamalan". However, it may prevent the curse from transforming you into a mind-controlled monster. But not reliably.
