Very nice upgrade if it was'nt for the fact that they look like a level 5 LW recipe. I'm still wearing my Pads of the Dreadwolf over these out of sheer spite for the designers :P
Death to sure step! Long live fuzzy pimp boots of doom!!
Really good boots for a Combat Rogue.. I'm still wearing them well into level 70.
Could be called "Boots of Assassination" because they match the rest of the set visually.
A truly excellent pair of boots, these can last you very long. The first few quest rewards that compare are
, from Caverns of Time: Old Hillsbrad Foothills and Auchindoun: Shadow Labyrinth, respectively.
With a bit of luck, you can get
from Mana-Tombs which are slightly, though not even significantly better than these; regardless be sure to pick the Sure-Step Boots up. They'll last.
Im keeping these for Bear form and keeping Studded Green Anklewraps for Cat form.
i kept these all the way up to karahzan... just got these earlier today and finnally replaced my sure step boots
definitly some of the best boots you can get for a combat rogue pre-kara
*Studded Green Anklewraps vs Sure-Step Boots*
Which are better for rogues this is odd because stat distribution is better on sure step boots but strength on Studded Green Anklewraps own so hard and we also gain a dodge bonus + a hit bonus makings these a 50 / 50 right ? is one acctually better than the other or am i suppouse to give up my AP bonus from Sure-Step Boots ?
its such a close call, the Studded Green Anklewraps are a higher level but not quite geared right for rogues but still gear well and the sure steps are ok for lower level rogues maybe 65 max any suggestions?
My lord these own face
I just have to say these boots are amazing. I got them at 61 and im still using them at 68!
Incredibly easy to get for the stats. Took me about 45 minutes to run the full ramps. We even 3 manned the last boss with the following group:
62 balance druid(healer)
62 prot. warrior (MT)
63 rogue(me) (Main DPS)
And they really kick ass - way better than most of the level 70 stuff (pve)
with a good and willing group (sometimes it takes some "incentive") you can get these at 58, very nice to have for the 50-59 battlegrounds when the low people have no TBC gear at all, 2.5k ambush hurts a mage with only 1.8k hp =P
Very good boots, I haven't found anything better for quite a while!
I sold them by accident then i got d/c so i am REALLY mad right. >.< =[ . Now, no really good boots for me!
