This has now been changed to :
Increases your Agility by 35 and your critical strike rating by 20 for 1 hour
Good upgrade :)
Does anybody know if this stacks with mongoose?
Because I've heard mixed reviews. I've tried it, and I did not notice any difference in my attack power (agility). However, I noticed a VERY slight increase to my crit chance. About .3%.
But the numbers don't add up, what's the deal with this?
Elixir of Major Agility (B) + Elixir of Major Defense (G) = 3136 tank points
Elixir of Mastery (B) + Elixir of Major Defense (G) = 2976 tank points
Flask of Fortification (B+G) = 2898 tank points
MAJOR AGILITY (with Kings)
35 agi____________38.5 agi
20 crit rating_______20 crit rating
25 agi____________27.5 agi
28 crit rating_______28 crit rating
(agility per 1% crit) (crit equivalent of agility)
22.1 (1% crit)______1.267______ 0.905
These are my figures for crit rating from each when coupled with Kings. Agility may offer more benefits to some classes. Feel free to correct any errors. All results acquired from using WoWWiki's formulas, assuming a level 70 character. Also, if someone knows how to make an organized list, feel free to do so.
Just for those intersted, this provides about 2.35% crit for a druid, along with 2.45% dodge if you're into tanking.
best dps elixir there is for hunters, rogues, and feral druids
I use these quite often for tanking on my warrior when I'm feeling to cheap to burn a flask. Crit and +dodge? Yeah, why not. Cheap, with pretty good benefits. I'm never thinking to myself "Hmm, is this ZA group worthy of an Agility potion?". I just chug it and keep on going.
Almost as a good as Flask of Relentless Assault from the perspective of a hunter. Using the same itemization that blizzard uses.
I like to refer agility and crit rating as a solid stat and AP as a bloated stat. (Think 8 agility/crit gems and 16 AP gems)
120 AP from the flask is to me is about 60 solid stats.
35 agility + 20 crit rating from the elixir is 55 solid stats. (with kings= 58.5 solid stats)
Taking into consideration this elixir is about 1/20th the cost of a flask, not to mention leaving the guardian elixir slot free, I think this is better..
Yes, flask persists through death, but even if you wipe 15 times you will still come out spending less than a flask. And if you do wipe that much, you probably have other monetary concerns to worry about. Plus as a hunter you can FD and prevent at least half of the deaths if not all of them.
Raids don't last more than 3 hours a day in my guild. On average I end up using 3-4 of these mixed with draenic wisdom here and there.
This is also probably the best elixir for an enhancement shaman as it gives a crapload of crit. Crit is clearly very important for an enhancement shaman as it makes us more mana efficient and also procs flurry. So the choice would be between this and probably Fel Strength Elixir if you AP is low.
Is this receipe a drop, or can I buy it?

I tell you what, this pot is sweet for Rogues. I'm level 56, and using this along with poisoned weapons, allowed me to solo level 56 and 57 elites in the western plaguelands. It wasn't a cakewalk, but before I wouldn't of even bothered to solo them. Sure, you need to throw in an evasion sometimes, but it's worth it to farm invader scourgestones.
Now, if only I could make this pot myself, but alas, I must purchase on the AH.
