Welcome to our Isle of Quel’Danas overview for Classic Burning Crusade! Also known as Sunwell Isle, this is a zone north of Eversong Woods. This neutral quest hub is the home of the Shattered Sun Offensive faction, a group of aligned Aldor and Scryer working together against the forces of Kael'thas Sunstrider.
Introduction: Isle of Quel’Danas
Isle of Quel’Danas is the quest hub for the Shattered Sun Offensive, with many associated vendors and rewards, and contains a couple of endgame instances.

How to Get to the Isle of Quel’Danas
Unlock the Isle of Quel'Danas zone and the Shattered Sun Offensive faction at level 70 by accepting one of the quests, depending on their Shattrath faction:

At first, your only way to and from the Isle of Quel'Danas is through flight points. You will automatically learn flight paths from four flight masters -- one Horde, one Alliance, and two Neutral:
Ironforge
Silvermoon City
Hatchet Hills (near Zul'Aman), Ghostlands
Light's Hope Chapel, Eastern Plaguelands
This flight leads to

, the Dragonhawk Master at /way 48.4 25.2. You can use this flight path to return to civilization.

Once players have completed the Phase 2 "Activating the Sunwell Portal" stage, you can use a portal from the centre of Shattrath to the Isle of Quel'Danas at /way 47.7, 35.0.
This portal is one-way only.
You can only use it to get to the Isle, but you can't use it to take you back to Shattrath. The quest

, which will give you a teleport back to Shattrath, but it's consumed on use. However, this is a permanent daily at this point, so you can get one trip back per day.
This portal emerges in Sun's Reach on the Isle at /way 48.4, 34.3. It's on the top ledge of a building. You can simply jump off (as most people do) or you can go just inside the building, where there is a Portal of Translocation at /way 47.4, 35.0. This will take you to the bottom floor.
Quests and Phases on the Isle of Quel’Danas
Important: The phase that is open to you depends on server-wide progress, not on your personal progress or your reputation with Shattered Sun Offensive.
A player on a less populated server may spend more time in one phase than a player on a busier one. It is based on the entire server, not on your faction's activity.

In the Shattered Sun Offensive storyline, most quests are added or removed based on the completion of server-wide objectives. These objectives typically flow in the form of phases, with a total of four main phase objectives (focused around the reclamation of major locations on the Isle), as well as four creation-oriented objectives (focused around collecting resources in order to create new, beneficial additions to the Isle).
As servers complete objectives, new NPCs and quests will become available progressively, leading towards full reclamation of the Isle. All quests are available at Neutral reputation with the Shattered Sun Offensive. While most quests take place solely on the Isle, a few involve activities elsewhere in Outland.

All quests marked with a star (*) are
temporary
daily quests. These quests will only be active during their respective phases and prior to certain conditions being met. Once the intended objective percentage reaches 100% have been completed, they will be replaced with
permanent
equivalents - identical to their predecessors, but available forever.
Sun's Reach Sanctum

When this objective has been completed, Phase 3 will begin. The Sunwell Portal can be activated beforehand or afterwards, as it does not directly affect the progression through the phases.
The temporary Phase 2 quests will disappear, and will be replaced with two new daily quests in Phase 3.
Activating the Sunwell Portal
During Phase 2, players can also activate the
Sunwell Portal
that will allow them to travel directly from Shattrath. Completing this objective does not advance progress towards Phase 3, but rather focuses on transportation to and from the Isle. Players can complete a daily quest towards this goal, which will be replaced once the portal has been opened.

available, asking that players travel to Shattrath to assist Exarch Nasuun in the process of creating a portal between Shattrath and the Isle of Quel'Danas.
Phase 2 Sunwell Temporary Daily

When 100% progress has been reached, the one-way portal will be available to teleport players from Shattrath to the Isle of Quel'Danas. Having to return to Shattrath to complete this quest is a bit of a pain, but it's worth it toward opening this valuable transport device.

Once all objectives on the Isle of Quel'Danas have been completed, the naaru
K'iru
spawns and buffs players zone-wide and inside the Magister's Terrace with
K'iru's Song of Victory
, increasing Stamina by 79 and Intellect by 40. This buff does not stack with
Power Word: Fortitude
or
Arcane Intellect
.
This area will now serve as a permanent quest hub, offering many daily quests, vendors, and other resources for players.
Professions Materials on the Isle of Quel’Danas
Quel'Danas is a great place to gather high-level materials for professions. Bloated Giant Sunfish are most prevalent along the north-central coast between Sun's Reach and Dawnstar Village and contain a variety of high-level crafting mats.

Isle of Quel’Danas Dungeons and Raids
The Isle of Quel’Danas contains one 5-player dungeon, Magister's Terrace, and one 25-player raid, Sunwell Plateau.
The Magisters' Terrace is a 5-person instance featuring four bosses, including Kael'thas Sunstrider himself, who has returned despite his "defeat" in Tempest Keep: The Eye. As well as level 70 gear, the final boss has a chance to drop

塞林·火心
is a fallen blood elf and represents the first boss in the Magisters' Terrace. The fel energy he has consumed has altered his appearance to start resembling a demon with wings and horns.

is a voidwraith infused with arcane energy.
女祭司德莉希亚
is the third boss within Magisters' Terrace. Upon instance creation, she randomly chooses four companions with their own unique abilities. All five, including Delrissa, must be defeated (in no specific order) in order to complete the event.
凯尔萨斯·逐日者
is the final boss within Magisters' Terrace. Although believed to have been defeated in The Eye, Kael'thas has been kept alive by a green crystal embedded within his chest.

Sunwell Plateau
is a 25-player raid with 6 bosses located just south of Sun's Reach. Tier 6 Waist, Wrist, and Feet tokens are obtained from this raid, along with the legendary

. There is no attunement required to enter Sunwell Plateau.

, one of the few surviving blue dragons, is the first boss in the Sunwell Plateau. He is being corrupted by Sathrovarr the Corruptor, a servant of Kil'jaeden. He often assumes half-elven form under the name of Kalec.
布鲁塔卢斯
is a pit lord and the second boss of the Sunwell Plateau. He deals heavy melee damage and enrages quickly, thus serving as somewhat of a gear check encounter, much like Patchwerk. He can also be seen from outside the instance, where he is engaging the blue dragon Madrigosa. He succeeds in slaying the dragon and turns her into Felmyst.

is a fel dragon who is raised from the corpse of the blue dragon Madrigosa. She is the third boss in the Sunwell Plateau, and can only be fought once Brutallus has been defeated.

are a pair of twins; Alythess is a fire-based demon, and Sacrolash is a shadow-based demon.
穆鲁
is a fallen naaru and former guardian of Tempest Keep. He was captured by Kael'thas' blood elves and taken to Silvermoon City. After his defeat in Tempest Keep, Kael'thas and his felblood minions captured M'uru from Silvermoon and took him to the Sunwell Plateau, presumably to drain his power and aid in the summoning of Kil'jaeden. He thus represents the fifth encounter of the instance.
基尔加丹
is a powerful eredar demon lord and is the acting leader of the Burning Legion. Selected twenty-five thousand years ago as the chief lieutenant of Sargeras, he was ranked above the now-deceased demon lord, Archimonde. While Archimonde had led the Legion's armies, Kil'jaeden's agenda was to assimilate every race possible into the folds of the Burning Legion. Since the apparent banishment of Sargeras, he has assumed the role of supreme commander. He is also notable as the creator of the Lich King.

Phase 3 NPCs Unlocks
Shaani<Jewelcrafting Supplies> spawns - sells epic-quality gems and jewelcrafting recipes /way 51.4 32.6
The way this is worded makes it seem as if Shaani will spawn and sell gems and recipes immediately upon completion of P3.
However, she won't sell anything until her shop is set up after creating the alchemy lab in P4, will she?

Can anyone Confirm, with some assurance, that it's only the temporary quests in each phase that provide progression to that phase? (ie phase two is only The Battle for the Sun's Reach Armory and Distraction at the Dead Scar and no other quest gives progression? Because no offence to Miyani, as this is an amazing guide, but it was also written 14 years ago and there might be ways of confirming this data today we didn't have then. I guess I just want to ensure I'm doing my part but also I have hella big daily fatigue.
