Welcome to Wowhead's Best in Slot Gear list from Phase 5 Sunwell Plateau for Holy Paladin Healing in The Burning Crusade Classic. This guide will list the recommended gear for Holy Paladin Healing to acquire while they progress during the fifth and final phase of The Burning Crusade Classic, which contains gear sourced from Sunwell Plateau, Zul'Aman, Black Temple, and Mount Hyjal, plus other pieces from previous phases like Serpentshrine Cavern, Tempest Keep, heroic dungeons, arena PvP Gear, professions, BoE World Drops, and reputations.
Best In Slot Gear for Holy Paladin Healing in Phase 5
Phase 5 introduces the

raid, easily the most challenging content in The Burning Crusade Classic. Similar to how the original Naxxramas raid had only a small percentage of guilds clearing it, the original Sunwell Plateau was notorious for its difficulty.
As I've said in previous phases, there is no true "one size fits all" for gearing. The gear-set below is an idea of one way to gear as a Holy Paladin, focusing on sustain over haste. Truthfully, there isn't a strictly BiS setup as everyone has different play-styles and/or different guilds (i.e. focusing on speed clears vs progression) which require different gearing, like stacking haste and +healing gems for a quick Flash of Light spamming build whereas others will stack more intellect and spell crit for Holy Light sustainability. Choose what play-style suits you and your guild the most and go with that.
Regarding the gem slots, you can tailor these to your specific needs. The gear set below is just an example of matching the socket bonuses with an emphasis on bonus healing from teardrop cuts. Experimenting with different setups will be key in fine tuning your gear. Also a reminder that

will become available if that is something that interests you.
Profession-specific gear is not included in this set, but if you are an alchemist, using the

The quick, TL;DR answer is that

faction is better for for PvE, but the difference is rather small and will not make or break end-game content. Choosing either faction will ultimately be fine in the long run, so do not be dismayed if you went with

instead.

The last point of contention is which proc of the

will be a lot more beneficial due to the healing coefficient bonus. The other proc,

, will not benefit as much as it is a static heal amount not affected by your +healing level, and can only proc off of paladin's casted heals whereas it can proc off of other healers healing over time spells, creating more value for them compared to paladins.
In conclusion,

offers the most benefit from a better shoulder enchant, tailoring patterns, and necklace proc in phase 5 compared to

Badges of Justice for Holy Paladin Healing in Phase 5
At this point in the game, badges will be plentiful and can help shoring up any gear slots that you have not been fortunate enough to upgrade. Because this will vary drastically from player to player, it's recommended to to focus on whatever weakest slots you have. Items like the

are extremely strong and still worth prioritizing first.
Badges offer guaranteed gear and are easy to farm, so review where you currently stand and put together a plan that will offer you the best upgrades, because this list is not a "one size fits all" list as everyone will differ with how they play and how their group/raid plays.

Lightbringer Treads is the best option for phase 4, following the same pattern as the belt and bracers as being a plate option for little to no loot competition amongst the other healers.
Kinda misleading for a T-piece which are contested (bis) for pretty much all the classes and specs included.
