Welcome to Wowhead's Best in Slot Gear list from Phase 3 Black Temple and Mount Hyjal for Arms Warrior DPS in The Burning Crusade Classic. This guide will list the recommended gear for Arms Warrior DPS to acquire while they progress during the third phase of The Burning Crusade Classic, and contains gear sourced from Black Temple and Mount Hyjal, plus other pieces from previous phases like Serpentshrine Cavern, Tempest Keep, heroic dungeons, arena PvP Gear, professions, BoE World Drops, and reputations.

Aldor vs. Scryer for Arms DPS in Phase 3
Both of the Shattrah Factions are close in DPS for Warriors, although the Scryer shoulder Enchant is slightly better for personal DPS. However, the difference is minimal, and Aldor comes with an added bonus of having an extremely strong MH/OH in

.Aldor is also usually more expensive to gain reputation with, due to its status as the most popular faction, and also has a major downside in the form of a much more expensive Blacksmithing Plan for when you level your professions. In conclusion, although Scryer has a slight numerical advantage, neither faction will make an extreme difference to your personal gameplay.
Badges of Justice for Warrior DPS in Phase 3
Our most important purchase will always be

. The combination of strong passive stats combined with a high AP active makes this one of our trinkets of choice during the preraid stage, and a substantial upgrade from almost any other alternative.
As for the next item, there are two main choices. For those with strong rings, but a weaker neck, or those suffering from issues surrounding reaching hit cap, the choice will be

. This neck gives us a great deal of flexibility with early item choices, and will most likely be the second item you should purchase. If you have extremely weak rings, however, another option can be the

, which provies us with a large stat increase to our critical strike and attack power. If not purchased before the necklace, this should be obtained as soon as possible after.
Set Bonuses
Tier 6 comes with 2 unique set bonuses.
The 2 set bonus,

, acts as a small rage reduction that stacks with our talent,
. A minor gain at best, this bonus helps smooth out our execute phase when not under the effects of cooldowns, and in limited rage scenarios.
The 4 set bonus,

, is much Stronger for Arms than it is for Fury. Mortal Strike makes up a larger percent of our Damage, and the lack of hit on some Tier pieces means that using them is the preferred option when in raid with a Boomkin or other source of Improved Faerie Fire.

is BiS by a solid margin, but can be quite contested as it is BiS for both BM/MM Hunters, Ret Paladins, and Enh Shamans. Do not build sets around this items hit rating unless you can guarantee you will get it. In addition, as Arms has a hard hit cap as opposed to the soft hit cap of Fury, this item can be substantially reduced in DPS gain if the hit is not utilized. Make sure you know your character and gear progression before you take this item!
Both of the other helm options are competitive when taking into account building around either 4Set or Offpieces.

I think you're missing the point of the
强化斩杀
talent and T6 set bonus. Any extra rage beyond that which was used to cast

is converted into damage, so anything which reduces the rage cost directly means more damage during the last 20% of the boss.

Is it really worth to lose crit for hast pieces like Swiftsteel Shoulders and Band of Devastation?
Since hast is not really addressed in the Stats chapter of your guide it sounds kind of weird.

Why are Season 3 pieces and Vindicator pieces not included anywhere in these lists? Many of them are better than a lot of the optional pieces that aren't BiS
