That's actually how they've explained her killing Llane even though she was his friend, the Shadow Council (Gul'dan and all his warlock buddies from the Shadowmoon Clan) have so many spells and controls on her mind, that Garona is just a kill puppet. That's why right now there trying to stop Cho'gall and his Twilight Hammer group so they can finally free her of evil control. The Hammer sent Garona and her "watcher's" to Theramore to break up the Peace Summit between Thrall and Varian. Kinda of kill'em both and watch the insanity and chaos the Hammer loves so much come pouring free.

The Hammer forces had both Horde and Alliance to try to spark a war between the factions.

As for the how Med'an could tell his mother was paralyzed, in the one picture you see the "spell circles" around her, the witch that grabbed the kid said a word to paralyze Garona and let her die there to try to foster more hate and distrust between Varian and Thrall, make him believe the Horde still used the old style of attacks.

Not saying it is good story telling but..... yeah it's what they used, he's not the only one to see as after the Kid is captured, Jaina and Aegwynn confirm what he told Varian.

Just another reason for me to laugh at the alliance trying to claim there leader is better then Thrall.

Thrall wouldn't even suggest the idea of killing a child, whatever race it is or whatever side its linked too. As it shows in Lord of the Clans, when he lead his people to attack Durnholde keep, he made sure innocent people who knew to be good were saved, and this was even after Blackmoore murdered Taretha.

Varian Wrynn is a psycho, he has dual personality disorder, and even when not consumed by rage, lets anger be his judge for things instead of wisdom and insight.

The alliance leader is beginning to look no better then Blackhand.

Are you sure he's 15+ on Thrall? Because Thrall was 1 when he was found by Blackmoore, and the 2nd war ended soon after that. I remember they mention that Hellscreams leaves a young son behind when he elected to stay on the Azeroth side of the portal, but I thought the kid was between 5-10? We know his general age. Rise of the Horde has him as a young teenager when the Horde invaded Azeroth. As far as I read lol.

We're not talking about whether or not the killing of a child is wrong. We're talking, I figured, about whether Varian is consumed with revenge, or if he actually tried to kill Med'an. Going back and reasserting that killing kids is wrong would be like arguing in court if someone committed a murder, then stopping to make sure everyone knows murder is wrong.

Also, I think we're also at this point even arguing if he is a "child". I mean, he just shot lightning from his fingertips, and it looks like he just killed a...boarman?Okay, just making sure. I agree that it's debatable whether he's consumed with revenge, and you made a good case for why not. I was just making sure you weren't also justifying the killing of a child.

I wouldn't go that far. Varian cares about his people, and will do anything to protect them, same as Thrall. But at least he is isn't being controlled like a puppet by a shadow group(aka the Shadow Council). No offense Taurenmoo but seeing as your as pure Horde as some of those here are pure Alliance, your seeing anything to do with him through the same glasses people see Garrosh.

Again, I'm not saying Varian is perfect, but he's a damn better choice then what Stormwind has had in the past; The council of Nobles and Lady Prestor for one. As for his hatred, it's again, only aimed at Orc's and Undead, and both of those he has justification, compared to Daelin Proudmoore who hated all members of the Horde and refused to listen to reason about them.

Edit: Found the thing about age, your right, he was just a teenager in Rise of the Horde, and I was wrong: Durotan and his wife go to Doomhammer just before Gul'dan is put into a coma by Medivh/Sargeras's death, which is right before the end of the 1st War... so yeah, he's got a few years on Thrall.

Ok yes, I did jump the gun a bit there in saying he's the same as Blackhand, Blackhand being one who was controlled by the shadow concil until Doomhammer killed him.

And maybe its seen Varian has some level of justification of his hatred towards the Orcs for what happened to him. But since we're on that subject, lets consider what makes him hate the orcs so much, is it because he was made into a slave by a rogue group, and before that suffled around from one place to another, or was it because of what happened to his father at the hands of a mind controlled Garona? (Obviously he didn't know she was controlled like she was).

And yet, his own son has more clarity then his father does, has his father simple saw Med'an as another orc, 'orc = evil = must kill', just another green skin to him.

Yes I am a member of the horde, but I have played alliance myself, getting there point of view of it. I am a member of the horde who sees Thrall as the good in the horde, and see's Garrosh as the thing that would bring ruin it all.
And having played the alliance, I saw how noble Bolvar was in what he did to keep stormwind safe, but also I see Varian for his dual personaility disorder, how in the events of Onxyia spliting him in two and Jaina bringing them back together, it didn't so much make him whole as it did make 1 person with a split persona. Do you not see this yourself?

Your seriously pulling that one out? His son's hasn't experienced remotely what Varian went through with the Horde. Yes, he had to wait for his father to come back for years only with Bolvar at his side, but he has in no way seen what Varian had seen.

The kid is clearly wise for his age and shows more diplomacy then his own father. He might lack expereince but makes up for it being able to look past petty differences.

Also on the subject of talking about experience, I'll gladly open the box about Thralls experiences with humans since he was a child, and yet how he turned into a noble and wise leader despite it. Experience also with Jaina Proudmoore, despite her fathers racist want for killing all orcs, she became a diplomate herself and a ruler when the call is greatest, not wanting for pointless war or bloodshed.
