I believed the tooltip of Ghost Wolf ("... preventing movement speed from being reduced below 100%").

Unfortunately, that's not the case.

Complete beginners trap buff. No one would pick it if actually described that it slows your characters (even shaman in wolf form) to a crawl that takes seconds to fall off.
It just says it "caps your characters speed to x amount of yards a second." while selecting it.
It cost my group our tower run. Impossible to cast anything and avoid Observer Zelgars ground effects.

This is one of the worst "buffs" in Torghast. When it says it says "standing still" it means that if you're not moving for even a fraction of a second your character will be debuffed to 28% of normal movement speed and it will take multiple seconds to fall off once you move. As far as I can tell it's been applied to my character during combat, while moving, simply on a change of direction.

Two levels into playing with this buff I just gave up on trying to move around in combat at all. Depending on the debuffs the monsters have, that may not be an option at all and this "buff" could easily kill you.

To add insult to injury, spells like Blessing of Freedom and Divine Steed have no effect.

Even knowing it would probably suck I chose this skill just to see what it was like. It's nothing but a frustrating experience which made me want to simply quit my Torghast run altogether. I didn't, but it seemed like it took at least twice as long as normal.

There's nothing fun about this and it should be removed from the game or changed to not suck. I can only imagine some Blizzard developer laughing to themselves when they think of how they fooled players into taking this buff by making it purple.

Don't choose it unless you enjoy standing still in combat and you have no other choice but to take a 100% health buff or you're otherwise dying from knock backs.

I'm surprised that no one has been upset over the 100% max health that doesn't stay. The writing on this was bad, you may get the 100% for a bit but it falls off and you're left scrambling trying to stay alive.

It needs more clarification: 100% for xx time.

As a squishy holy priest, I enjoyed having this buff. The constant entangling roots was frustrating but with the 100 percent health buff, I never came close to dying.

Note, as other players mentioned, most effects that affect movement speed, including ones that state that it would keep you at a base movement speed minimum (like Death's Advance or Ghost Wolf) don't affect this power. The Torghast mounts (like Maw rat harness or, the rare mob spectral horse power) also don't work to negate this.

However, the power that gives you increased jump power somehow bypasses this. While it makes it really annoying and difficult to do small positioning maneuvers, , it does offset this power quite a bit.

This effect is deadly in TC at higher floors trying to move out of aoe. We did a tc 5 and 2 people who had it, it was instant death repeatedly, if your running TC 5-8 make sure no one takes this power.

The only thing that makes this power slightly endurable is if you get Negation well ( the one that makes you jump really high) that way you can bypass this horrible horrible Power with this other horrible horrible power.

This really slows runs down. The slow kicks in pretty quickly, and it takes several seconds to wear off.

If you feel squishy, this can be a good pick. The 100% benefit seems to multiply with other health increases, and now I've got 200k on floor 5. With that kind of health, few things are much of a risk.

Several powers combine well with this one:
- Negation Well. The jump is awkward to use but seems to be one of very few things that bypasses the slow.
- Anything that heals by a percentage of maximum health. Most commonly, look for Bloodgorged Leech, but there are others.
- Even more health increases. These cause your aforementioned heals to work even better.
- Gruul's Shattered Toenail. It triggers from the snare and does a lot of damage. I suspect it will even kill assassins fully by itself if you are caught by one while AFK.

Not much seems to counteract the slowdown very well.
- Druid shapeshift doesn't remove it.
- Movement speedups of all kinds seem to do nothing. It looks like it is not just slowing you, but also countering any movement increases.
- Blinks work, for example the Night Fae soulshift. You'll still be slow after the blink, though.
- Maw Seeker Harness still leaves you going slow.

All in all, this power is interesting for novelty and is probably a net improvement for actually beating the dungeon. I don't think I'll take it, much, due to how slow it is. It would have to be a run where you feel really squishy, but that doesn't happen that much given that the layers unlock fairly slowly. Maybe on an undergeared alt running a layer 8 that your main toon unlocked.

On most bosses, the double health is super helpful. As a balance druid, I stand still most of the time anyway. Took this, knowing the potential downside risk, and of course got Observer Zelgar, could not move well enough to beat him.

Hey, Blizzard! The easy fix for this is to give the brokers the ability to remove anima powers--for a price, of course.
