The look of this spell is pretty simple. A single beam will hit each target (max. 6) in either green (Heal) or red (Damage), using the main-target or player as base.

The damage or heal done by it is not being divided among the targets, making this a very useful ability that includes support for the healer or DD's every 20 seconds.

Quite versatile, and a nice way to replace our old divine storm as an "Fire And Forget" Aoe, Just macro it to target yourself and BLAM

I made a short macro for this:

#showtooltip
/cast Holy Prism; Holy Prism

If you press your keybind with shift, it will heal you and do AE dmg. If you press it without the modifier, it will do singletarget damage and AE heal.

Can anyone confirm if this will un-stealth rogues and the like (when cast on yourself)?

I dont know if its bug, but looks like AoE dmg part does not cancel repentance.

I've found this spell to behave oddly when fired at an enemy target.
It basically attempts to heal any friendly target, regardless of whether you could normally heal them or not.
For example, I've often seen it heal my crops on the farm, or an Alliance player (I'm Horde) who was walking by.
I don't really know what to make of it, just wanted to share the info.

This spell is NOT a smart heal (ie it does NOT heal the 5 most injured raid members within 15 yds if you used this on a hostile target). If you used this on a hostile target, the heals can crit and will heal any ally within 15 yds of hostile target, including pets, minions, guardians, etc.

If you compare the figures, this talent has a slightly higher throughput than Light's Hammer and Execution Sentence in theory. However, the fact that it is not a smart heal results in mostly overheals in a 10man and 25man raid environment, especially if your raid setup has a lot of pet classes (hunters, warlocks etc). And the fact that you cannot rely on it to heal the correct targets when you need it to is just risky for a lot of situations.

I personally tried this talent for a couple of weeks and found that having no control over who you can heal and itself not being a smart heal was just subpar compared to Light's Hammer.

If you are running heroic dungeons, this spell may be more useful compared to being in a raid environment.

This spell will knock enemy stealthers out if they are within 15 yards of the friendly target getting healed

Did a little math on this one for my fellow holy pallys.
http://fooplot.com/plot/4gb4zbodd6

y axis=Healing
x axis=Spellpower
Lightest blue is healing from: Молот Света over a minute for 25 stacked players.
Middle light blue is healing from: Молот Света over a minute for 10 stacked players.
Middle dark blue is healing from: Молот Света over a minute for 5 stacked players.
Dark blue is healing from: Молот Света over a minute for 1 player.
Yellow is healing received from having the enemy in the prism from Божественная призма and healing 5 players cast 3 times during a minute
Orange is healing received from having an ally in the prism from Божественная призма and healing 1 player cast 3 times during a minute
Red is healing received from having the enemy in the prism from Божественная призма and healing 1 player cast 3 times during a minute

The moral of the story is that Молот Света is better for (burst) healing 7-25 stacked people(7 is where it actually crosses over). Божественная призма is better for healing 1-5 people 3 times a minute.

Also:

TLDR: Since 5.2 this spell appears to start measuring the 15 yards from the edge of the boss' hit box rather than the centre of the boss.

I believe they have made a minor change to this spell in 5.2 that actually makes it a lot better on certain fights. I killed Гаралон earlier today and noticed when I cast Божественная призма on his body, the spell worked differently.

Pre 5.2
Casting Божественная призма on Гаралон's body did damage to him but did not heal any one. Because his body is so huge no one was within 15 yards(from the centre of him) to receive the heal(assuming they were following mechanics).

Post 5.2
Casting Божественная призма on Гаралон's heals up to 5 players within 15 yards outside of his hit box.

I had noticed that the "range" of the heal(when the enemy is in the prism) seemed bigger since 5.2, but I think I needed to see it on a boss like Гаралон to hypothesize/understand why.

This makes this spell much better for fights like Хорридон.

Let me know if anyone can confirm that they are also noticing this.

Paladin Holy: This is a MUST for RBG!

We doesn't have any AOE to defend capping (...I miss U, Holy Wrath TT______TT), so we must be creative with Holy Prism:
/cast Holy Prism
With this macro we cast the spell on us, so it will proc the 5 beams to the enemy.

You can have a button like this:
/cast Holy Prism; Holy Prism
It will use the prism like normal f you don't press any mod key (alt, shift, ctrl), and at yourself if you did.

And don't forget to track the CD! Better with NeedToKnow or Weak Auras ;)

Currently seems to be bugged and would pull neutrals or enemies alike when cast on an enemy if they're close enough, without actually damaging them at all (apart from the target of course). I thought it was quite odd while doing the Thunder Isle dailies and I have critters attempting to attack me, and then proved it the hard way when I was only trying to pull a Direhorn Hatching, where its parent got very angry (as they would I guess...) and sent me quickly to the grave.

Since as a healer I usually use this spell for it's healing, I made a following macro:
#showtooltip Holy Prism
/use Holy Prism
This targets the first harmful target in strict order. Ctrl forces to cast it on my current target, friend or foe. This way it's easy to use it on cooldown without paying too much attention for targeting.

while raiding on my ret I've found execution sentence to be much better, both for dps and as healer support; however I mostly pvp and holy prism is far more useful imo.

Prism is great for burst, though admittedly it can be a bit tough to work into the burst rotation. Midfield scrum on bg the utility is excellent and it can't be dispelled like execution sentence.

The main benefit of this spell is its versatility:

There are four situations to use it:

1 Target needs to be attacked (cast at enemy target)
Multiple Targets need to be healed (cast at enemy target)
Multiple Targets need to be attacked (cast at friendly target)
1 Target needs to be healed (cast at friendly target)

I use a macro that allows me as a Prot Paladin to choose whether to cast it at myself to heal me and hit multiple targets, or to cast it at my target and heal my nearby allies, and also lets me to cast Holy Prism on any mouseover target as a Holy Paladin:
/cast Holy Prism

As a Holy Paladin, I use this in conjunction with Vuhdo, which lets me see any friendly target that needs to be healed as well as the targets of my various tanks. As a Prot Paladin i generally reserve the ST heal for myself.

I run Prot in a heroic 10 man raid guild.

As a tank I'm really not trying to do as much damage as my fellow raiders, I'm more trying to keep them alive so they can kill the boss. For that matter I run with http://www.wowhead.com/spell=114165.
I find it more useful.

Boss about to AoE the group? Hit the boss with this to help out the healers (with full vengance stack I've seen me do heals for close to 300,000 on multiple people). May not be a smart heal, but that little bit still helps my healers out.

Need to pick up adds that just spawned? Cast it on myself. Decent healing, along with massive healing aggro and damage beams to get at least five adds. Perfect for H Sha of Prides Reflections and Immersius's Congealed Sha droplets.

Off tank covered with adds? Cast it on him to get a fill a chunk of his life and give a decent wack from 40 yards away to those annoying adds. That's the longest attack range for a pally, besides http://www.wowhead.com/spell=114157.

Молот Света may have AOE healing and Damage, but it depends on the group/ mob to stay in that one place. has single target damage OR healing, so if you use it on an add or friendly that dies halfway through, IMO you wasted the ability and still have to wait for its 1 minute cooldown. I can use 3 prisms in that time.

In all this is just my opinion. Even though it's raw numbers may not be comparable to the other two talents in the tier, it far outweighs them with it's versatility.

i am not seeing the beams when used on large bosses, is it just not hitting people because its out of range or are the visuals disabled in a raid setting?
