If you have been watching trade-chat in your server, you probably have noticed the increase in interest from players to complete

recently. That's because the achievement will no longer be obtainable starting with Shadowlands pre-patch, so players that haven't completed it yet are looking for groups.
Completing the achievement unlocks

. On top of that, completing the Mechagon Hard Mode run, even with wipes, will also cause

achievement.
The popularity of the achievement also has to deal with the ease that it is to complete with Ny'alotha gear. Characters with Ny'alotha or Season 4 PvP gear can easily just run through Mechagon with ease, likely not requiring a healer. The only challenges for the Hard Modes with current gear are the HK-8 limited timer to complete its air phase and King Mechagon's button challenge, which likely will happen only once for well-geared groups.
