Team Liquid to Fly Home Tomorrow and Continue Sepulcher Progress Monday
26.03.2022 в 17:37
Team Liquid has announced
that they will be pausing their progression until Monday, breaking for a final guild dinner tonight before flying back to their homes tomorrow. 28 Team Liquid raiders and 11 casters
arrived at the the Helix eSports Center
in Foxoborough, Massachusetts nearly a month ago for the start of the Sepulcher of the First Ones race to world first, and although they've come extremely far, exhaustion and other commitments have begun to catch up to them.
GM Maximum explains Team Liquid's plan to fly home and concede the race to Echo.
While this announcement actually happened prior to
Echo securing the kill
, GM Maximum clarified that the guild was not trying to avoid an "official" declaration of victory due to their need to travel home - graciously acknowledging that Echo played extremely well this tier and deserved to be the world first victors. Team Liquid was also not giving up on the Jailer and still planned on killing the boss to finish out the tier.
Meanwhile, Echo played extremely efficiently this tier, overtaking Liquid to discover the Jailer's hidden Mythic-only phase. Seemingly blessed pulls in which arena-wide defiles timed out at just the right time to avoid a wipe fell apart apart at the last second, and a heartbreaking 0.6% wipe preceded another hour of 12 minute pulls in order to secure the kill. It's been a marathon 18 day long tier unlike any other, and although Echo achieved the
World First victory
a short time after Liquid's announcement, the group was acknowledge Liquid's announcement and praised their performance throughout the race.
Echo and Liquid continually push one another to greater heights in each race to world first.
