In a
recent interview with Asmongold
, Ion revealed that he and the team have the long term goal of
bringing Master Loot
(or something like it) back to the game!
This represents a shift in the position that has held for the last several years during the iteration over personal loot, and brings up some interesting questions about whether they'll be able to preserve some of the upsides of personal loot and how they'll mitigate or solve certain problems that master loot has had.
There are also interesting questions about the implementation - should a raid group with no hunters be able to see bows and guns dropping from bosses? If yes, then that can feel very unsatisfying of course to see loot that nobody can use, but if not then would raid groups be created to just stack copies of a class and force loot onto someone of that class?
