If not for the
delay in the Shadowlands launch
, the expansion would've launched by the time this article went live.
Blizzard decided to delay the expansion in order to further polish the experience, something many players wish happened with Battle for Azeroth, and we're all grateful for it. Still, it is still sad that we're not venturing into a new expansion today. Recently, we also learned that
BlizzCon 2020 would've happened this past weekend
, if not for the current global pandemic.
Many players have been impacted by these changes in dates, like players that had scheduled paid time off their work to enjoy the expansion, but couldn't reschedule it, especially as we still don't have a set in stone date for Shadowlands. We have an article talking about
speculations about a possible new release window
, but nothing concrete.
For those looking to play WoW, the Shadowlands Pre-patch offers all the Shadowlands Class Changes, so you can start getting used to any changes to your characters. With the pre-patch, the leveling squish has also occurred, meaning level 120 players in Battle for Azeroth are now level 50, plus players are able to now level in any expansion with the advent of
Chromie Time
