When designing Evokers, they thought of fantasy first and what's cool about dragons? Big AoE and breathing fire everywhere. Evoker's two target cleave niche was a byproduct of extending their abilities to hit more targets. Искусность: убийца великанов was also a fantasy-inspired addition, working off the theme that Neltharion created the Dracthyr to fight against other dragons and big monsters.

Eveokers have a unique "mid-range" style with Preservation at 30 yards and Devastation is at 25 yards, making them play differently than other classes. They have tools like Hover and Verdant Embrace in order to help with that, but they wanted to embrace the fantasy of being close to the combat, without actually cluttering melee.

Evoker strengths are burst AoE, preemptive casting, mobility and repositioning.

They want Empowered spells to feel interesting at every level of empowerment, not just something that's always used at base rank or charged to full. The current version of Огненное дыхание embraces this.

In terms of playstyle Echo is intended to amplify healing at low target counts, you can spread it around to more, but it takes a lot more preplanning, Emerald Blossom is meant more for higher target counts, with extended healing ranges. Ideally you should use a mix of both, though you can lean into one or the other.

Evokers are classified as ranged for purposes of encounter mechanics that target specific player roles. While their unique mid-range distances can leave them in odd positions in current Shadowlands raids, those encounter mechanics weren't made with Evokers in mind, whereas Dragonflight's were. Vault of the Incarnates doesn't have a Sludgefist fight though, and so there aren't any mechanics in Dragonflight that need to treat Evokers differently right now.

There will be times where Evokers will feel the need to leave their mid-range positioning, but that's why they have mobility tools - so that they can quickly dash in or out of the group.

While trying to flesh out the "five schools of magic" theme, Evokers gained several utility abilities, but Devastation and Preservation still fill the same damage or healer role that every other class does and should generally be just as good as other damage dealing or healing specializations, without any kind of hybrid tax.

Much of the group ability and utility focus was a nod to the "communal" aspect of the dragonflights themselves, with dragons typically being communal creatures that work for the benefit of the brood.

Нейроглушитель does work on Спасение, to prevent being "maliciously saved". Being moved by an Evoker doesn't interrupt casting though, which opens up some interesting tactical opportunities.

Hybrid tax is done, it's not something the team has tuned around in a long time. In modern times, players identify with and view their characters through their specialization more so than the class, and the team has embraced that concept. It is a balancing act and every class/spec should be able to do something to help the group, it isn't a direct factor in their performative tuning.

The Dracthyr is by far the most customizable race ever added, so there are no plans at the moment to add more. They generally like to add more customizations as much as they can, but they're pretty happy with how many options and how distinct Dracthyr are right now.
