went a step further, creating a video to showcase the practical difference between loading WoW on a Solid State Drive as opposed to a standard Hard Disk Drive; loading into Legion Dalaran and then heading to the Vindicaar on both, showing in real time just how profound the difference can be, as the hard drive takes almost three times as long as the solid state.

Every individual user's mileage may vary, but this is just one area where the difference can be seen, with comments offering anecdotes regarding the lost time in arena preparation while waiting for slower players to load in, or the greater amount of glitches and missing assets even after the loading screen is gone, as well as how beneficial putting your computer operating system on a solid state rather than a hard disk can improve start up and load times.
Sold State Drives aren't exactly new any more, but Hard Disk Drives have been the standard for decades now, and are still widely used, especially among gamers who may have gotten their computer some time ago and not regularly upgraded it.
