No Doomwalker World Boss for 16th Anniversary Event - Possible Burning Crusade Classic Hints?

The datamined Doomwalker world boss does not seem to be part of the 16th Anniversary event. Perhaps it is coming in a future anniversary event, if the speculation is true and TBC Classic is coming soon.
Between the
TBC character creation survey
,
Classic beta catalog updates
and Blizzard
fixing TBC bugs in Phase 6
, it's likely that TBC Classic is on the way, potentially announced at the
BlizzConline virtual event
in winter 2021.
Doomwalker Datamining
Back in May, Blizzard added a quest for a new World Boss version of
Судьболом
, originally located in front of the Black Temple:

. This World Boss is the criteria for the quest

, which reveals it will spawn by the Caverns of Time in Tanaris.
From the quest text:
Did you see that giant mechanical monstrosity just walking around in the dunes outside? He comes from a place out of time, and not even here on Azeroth! The timeways sure are screwy around this time of year. <Chromie takes out a small, rapidly whirring stopwatch and tinkers with it. She seems to have momentarily forgotten about you.> Oh, you're still here! That's great. Would you mind taking out that thing? Otherwise, people might have trouble getting to the party!
However, players have not found this boss on live servers and it was not mentioned in
Blizzard's official event blog
.
Encrypted Whelping Pet
We've also datamined an
encrypted whelping pet
, INV_DragonwhelpOutland2_Light, which sounds like it's a whelping themed after Burning Crusade. This is a fitting pet for TBC Classic, as

Blizzard frequently encrypts anniversary rewards, sometimes years in advance, as we saw with

which was datamined in 2018 but added to the game in 2020. So it's possible that following a TBC Classic announcement, we'll get Doomwalker and a whelpling pet reward as part of WoW's 17th Anniversary.
