has posted an updated image showing the fix. You will now receive a

And here's a sampling of initial player reports when the bug was still active:
Yep WQ icon showed a 2h sword and I got a 1h mace on my arms loot spec warrior.
Yep, got a polearm on my BM hunter and 1h on my blood dk.
yup. was feral spec and got boomkin
got a 1 hander for my blood death knight. My buddy got a gun on his survival hunter.
Arms spec and get a 1h mace......
Yep. Gave me a mace on my assassination rogue and polearm on my Beast Mastery hunter.
Yup got the agility polearm on my druid that was balance with loot spec set to resto. Before i killed Nathanos the world quest reward was an intellect staff and sadly an upgrade for me.
