Guide to the Shadowlands Pre-Patch Death's Rising Event and Scourge Invasions
In this cinematic, Tyrande confronts Nathanos once again following his escape at Darkshore. This time, she gains the upper hand and defeats Nathanos easily--but is it satisfying? Nathanos mocks her losses, but more importantly, reveals he'll be sent to the afterlife to join Sylvanas. Is this what Sylvanas wanted all along? Will wee see Nathanos as a raid boss in a later Shadowlands patch?
Leading up to this moment, Sylvanas sent her val'kyr to abduct other leaders of the Alliance and Horde, including Tyrande who was the only leader to successfully resist the trap. So it could be argued that even though Nathanos ended up in the Shadowlands, it wasn't part of Sylvanas' plan as she intended to have the threat of Tyrande removed at this point.
