recently got a promotion

Matt Villers
has announced his promotion to Lead Encounter Designer on World of Warcraft! In his 11 years with Blizzard Entertainment, he has worked as a Customer Service Representative,
Diablo III
Level Designer,
StarCraft II
Campaign Designer, and Lead Hero Designer for
Heroes of the Storm
, before moving to
World of Warcraft in 2018
.
According to his
developer bio
, while serving as Lead Hero Designer on
Heroes of the Storm
, Matt Villers was responsible for the gameplay of new Heroes, including basic abilities and talents. When assigned to a new Hero, he acts as that Hero’s product owner, coordinating with and supporting other groups like Art and Sound. He made sure everyone is on the same page with a shared vision as the Hero moved through various stages of development.
He was also
