With this week's reset, Blizzard has pushed their
new penalty for wearing 200 or more total corruption
, which quickly kills you while in combat. The new effect,

reads as follows:
Inescapable Consequences
- Taking 25% of maximum health as damage every 1 sec while in combat.
Having this effect doesn't add a new color to your character corruption, but instead adds a permanent purple hue to your screen.
When you enter combat, you immediately start taking damage with the effect.
When you die, N'zoth whispers you and everyone around one of the following messages, with respective voiceover lines:

Mere baubles decay beneath the gaze of a god.
Deeper, even deeper...
At last... embrace the truth of shadow.
Ahh... you think you know power.
Yes... you draw closer... even closer.
With every choice, you become more my servant.
Harness your fury... make your hatred a weapon.
The damage is mitigated by versatility, but unable to be immuned. Sorry, Paladins.
