Compared to a doing normal Battlegrounds for your essence grind:
Queues are much faster, as you only need 15 players of any role combination from your faction rather than an evenly role-matched amount of the other faction too.
There is no chance of losing, the question is whether you win in 2 minutes, 5, or 10.
You can pretty easily do something else at the same time, like watching your favorite television show, Twitch stream, YouTube video, or writing a scathing tweet about the state of grinding essences in the game.
However:
It can get very repetitive.
There is no challenge or real PVP to be enjoyed as there is in a regular Battleground.
Let’s talk about a few optimizations you can make to rack up that honor more quickly as you only have until Tuesday (NA) / Wednesday (EU) before Comp Stomp goes away!
To queue up for Comp Stomp, open the PvP UI element (Default: I), then head to Quick Match and click on Brawl: Comp Stomp. Queue up for your role and you're all set!
Optimization 1: Battle-Standards!

from the Guild Vendor in any of your faction’s cities

and drop it to increase your honor gained by 15%! In this mode, you don’t gain honor for kills, only ticking honor based on the points your team is earning and a chunk of honor at the end. This means it’s optimal to drop this before your team starts earning too many points and then stay within range until the end of the BG. If you do this every time, you’ll shave about 15 Brawls off your to-do list!
Depending on how fast you’re winning, you may not have it available to use every time - in this case, other members of your Guild can drop theirs, or you can pick up the lesser versions

to use when the Battle Standard is on cooldown. If you die, your banner goes away as well, so having these on-hand for after you rez is a good idea, although generally you should try to avoid dying after dropping your Battle Standard! Their bonuses don’t stack, so don’t drop all three at once.
Optimization 2: First Win of the Day!
You gain an extra 220 Honor (and 40 Conquest!) for your first win of the day in this game mode, so if you’re going to do multiple characters, you may want to make sure to get one in on each of them rather than focusing solely on one character until it’s done.
Optimization 3: Go for the 5-cap!
At the start of the game, generally your faction will fan out to Lumber Mill, Blacksmith, and Gold Mine, while claiming Farm and leaving Stables to the Alliance. By the time the fights are over at all three of those bases, Stables will be captured, and pushing it will take a few minutes of wiping the bots as they resurrect. You can instead secure an early 5-cap if your character is powerful enough, or if you can bring someone else with you, by rushing Stables and taking the flag before they get access to the graveyard.
Even if you end up losing a fight at one of the other bases, your team should have time to get there and take the flag before it converts into a graveyard, and the enemies should be forced to respawn at Trollbane Hall. You can ensure a quick victory by engaging them as they exit their base - the AI will not try to run from a fight, so as long as you can get in combat with all of them as they spawn, they won’t fan out and hit multiple bases. Just make sure to not do this alone unless you’re confident you can survive or kite them back to your team.

Optimization 4: Queue with Friends!
Executing the above strategy goes from difficult to doable with one friend, and with two or three it becomes easy. For super bonus points, you can even queue with up to the full 15 people required for the game mode, which ensures instant queues and very fast victories. It’s possible to earn around 5,000 Honor per hour in a full 15 person premade, and if you get other members of your Guild involved you can set up a rotation for the above-mentioned Battle Standards to get around their 10 minute cooldown.

when Buying Essences!
When you have Rank 2 or 3 of any Essence, the price for the other roles’ versions of that Essence gets reduced dramatically. For example,

, then it only costs 10! This means you should make multiple trips to and from the vendor, buying Rank 2 for one role, applying it to your necklace, then buying Rank 2 for your offspecs, and repeat that process for Rank 3, to save a bunch of Marks of Honor!
