Ever since the
Witcher Season 2
promotional photo of Geralt of Rivia surfaced, WoW fans have been photoshopping Henry Cavill as Arthas Menethil, prompting praise from
Blizzard developers
and
the actor himself
.
Today we have another fan photoshop of Henry Cavill, taking a different angle than past images which tend to focus on Lich King Arthas. Here, we see Prince Arthas before his transformation, as a paladin with blond hair, gold/silver armor, and his iconic hammer. The artist has even added an Alliance lion to his chestpiece and Lordaeron pendant as jewelry.
Fan reactions to these photoshop pieces has been overwhelmingly popular--it looks like the WoW community would be pretty excited about an Arthas movie (or TV series), not to mention a possible return of Arthas in the upcoming Shadowlands expansion.
