Epic Battleground Honor Quests Nerfed and No Longer Count Towards Essence Achievements

changes to Mercenary mode
, Blizzard has made another stealth change to make it take even longer by changing the Epic Battleground Honor Quests. In addition, some of these quests also now have nerfed rewards.

Background
In order to unlock the Battleground Essences, players must achieve 15k for Rank 2 and 50k Honor for Rank 3
in Battlegrounds and PvP Islands
for the

achievements respectively. For Rank 4, players must achieve 100k Honor through

. To get Rank 3, this Essence probably takes around 16-20 hours of Battlegrounds, assuming you're winning.

. Blood of the Enemy is generally the Battleground Essence that is most used, with many specs using it in raid or Mythic+ dungeons.
In Patch 8.2.5, Blizzard
made a change
that Battleground mercenaries will no longer benefit from the 50% Honor bonus. This already made the grind longer for the more-popular faction (usually Horde) in Patch 8.2.5.
There's another change in Patch 8.2.5 that didn't make it into the Patch notes that has made the grind take even longer, especially to those who were working their way to the Essence using the Epic Battleground quests.
Epic Battleground Honor Quests - No Achievement Credit
In the majority of Epic Battlegrounds, there are quests that award Honor. 2 of the 3 Honor quests also had their Honor rewards nerfed with the Patch, but that's not all...
In Patch 8.2.5, these quests also no longer count towards the Battlefield achievements. This means you'll have to earn all your Honor from objectives and end of match bonuses.
These are all the Honor quests as well as the changes to Honor quests since Patch 8.2.5. Since there's no list, this is what we've found so far. If you notice another change or we are remembered a quest wrong, please let us know in the comments below.

There are some quests that award Conquest, but we're not focusing them in this post.
Conclusion
Before Patch 8.2.5, all of these quests rewarded their Honor Credit towards the Battlefield achievements. You were also able to go Mercenary mode and complete the quests on the opposite faction as well. This means that before Patch 8.2.5, you could get 6,000 Honor just by completing the quests on both factions (plus a little more Honor from playing those Battlegrounds). If you did all these quests before Patch 8.2.5, you would get a bonus 9,000 Honor, almost 15% of the way to Rank 3. Unfortunately, not anymore.
However, not only are the individual quests nerfed but they don't even count towards the achievement anymore meaning you have to get all the Honor through objectives and end of match bonuses! The closest thing is a First Win of the Day Bonus which pales in comparison.
Discussion
We knew there was going to be nerfs coming into Patch 8.2.5 for the Blood of the Enemy grind, but I don't think anyone expected them to make it even longer.
